How do people still pick MLB parks online?

Are you saying that the mlb stadium responds slower because the environment is more detailed? If so, you expect most players to grasp that when picking a park? I think they should be able to pick any park offered and have the game function as close to offline as possible. SDS has the right to not offer the park, to not make it as detailed or to offer stat grinding offline verses only (even if they increase the requirement). I just don't see this as a user issue as much as a performance issue.
They should be able to. But unfortunately, that is not what happens this year. If you want to play competitively, and have a fair-ish outcome, play in any other MiLB or spring training park.
This is in fact a user issue as a result of a performance issue. People want to come on this forum and complain that they’re not rewarded for their PCI placement, yet a lot of the time it’s due to the park they’re playing in.
I hate the fluke hits in Shippet, but honestly I use shippet all the time because of the fact I feel rewarded for good pci placement. This is an SDS issue, a PS4 hardware issue, and a user issue for not picking a stadium that balances it out.

any stadium is better than fugly shippett
Then play at Green Mountain, Riverboat, All American, even Date Palm. At least there, you’re rewarded for PCI placement and smoother gameplay.

The average player has never visited this forum, doesn’t notice the lag/frame rate issues, and even if they did they probably didn’t connect it to MLB parks. They’re just trying to play a video game.
Then there is another small percentage of players that know about the lag / frame rate and simply don’t care because they want to play in MLB stadiums in an MLB game.
I understand the frustration, but trying to change what away parks you end up in by complaining about it here is equivalent to pissing in the wind.

I'll play anywhere I want, thank you. I purchased MLB the show, not fake stadium The Show.
People complaining about input lag because of stadiums have the ability to remove the rendering issues by changing their POV when pitching or hitting.
I'm not a great player. I don't care to be. I'll NEVER blame my lack of performance on a MLB stadium like so many "elites" do.
The elite hitters are staring at a strike zone across the entire screen. Don't matter what stadium you use.
When pitching, if you think you are lagging or unable to control your timing because of the stadium, blame the RNG, not the ballpark.

I agree with you wanting to play in your stadium of choice. If it was fair, I would play at Yankee Stadium (my team) or PNC Park (prettiest ball park) all the time. But unfortunately, you can’t blame RNG when there’s literally performance issues as a result of MLB stadiums hindering your performance.
I never complain about losing as a result of something else, just what I could have done different or better. But when playing in this event and consistently seeing MLB stadiums and for whatever reason being away like 8/10 times, it’s frustrating to see the performance drop, and then to hear people claim the game is broken.

I didn’t think my post would change the world in a second, just wanted to get my opinion out there, knowing I would be facing people agreeing with me and disagreeing me.

It's not the stadiums alone. The opponent using potato internet is a bigger issue. Daytime events play like [censored] sometimes because of internet usage z especially during this pandemic.
I played an away game at ShitPit this morning. Worst lag I've had all year. Sure as ship wasn't the ballpark causing the performance issue.

Lol at “ShitPit” I couldn’t agree more

That’s true too. But internet is something people have less control over.

I'm not choosing ShitPit because you don't have my areas internet. Once again, it's not the stadium.
BTW, 8 out of 10 games in MLB parks? I see 12 out 10 at ShitPit.
Guy hits 7 Solo HR at ShitPit. "Wow, I'm good".
Guy gives up 7 at ShitPit. "whatever, it's because we're playing at ShitPit. I'll score 8 next inning".

I've played this game for a long time and I've heard people complain about lag in mlb stadiums for a while but if I'm being honest, I have never noticed the lag people talk about.
Can someone explain what i should look for? I'm having a hard time seeing it as a big deal if I haven't been able to notice it but it would be nice to have at least some idea of what to look for

It’s a stutter and drop in frame rate that I get in MLB parks because of the detail. It just doesn’t look smooth

You don’t have to play at “ShitPit”. I have World Series runs at Green Mountain because it’s a very fair park without the fluke hits and home runs.
I agree you can’t have your cake and eat it too. But it’s definitely the stadium, and if it’s not just the stadium, it’s a very large factor. Internet is not an issue here in NYC and for the most park, SDS does a good job matchmaking you with other N.Y. players for example
-
Took me awhile to notice but there is definitely is a difference. Laggy, choppy, sometimes it makes pitches look 10mph faster.
-
Its there. To be fair, it’s not every single MLB stadium. Minute Maid and Yankee Stadium seem to be the worse
-
I don’t care if it’s a mlb stadium bc my hitting is mostly unaffected. I such in both. But what really grinds my gears is when it’s a day game Can’t see the ball to save your life

I can't say I've noticed anything like that but I'll keep an eye out for it

#cancel/ defund Shippett

Thanks for this topic. I didn't even know this was a thing.. I've always wondered but I'm not great at the game so I thought it was that. Does the POV you use also affect this? I've been trying a few and felt like it did but I don't know the game like others so I can't tell. What is the best POV to use?

In RS games I always pick Wrigley since I’m a Cubs fan and that’s what my team name and uniforms are the Cubs. I’m not a WS ranked player but I’m not a causal either. I never notice lag. My internet is good and I play on a large TV. I get it, I could play on a fast response monitor blah blah blah. I spent the money for the game I’ll play where I want
