Don't trade for him. The Red Sox will trade him away fairly easily but you won't be able to use him on the ML roster. Just an FYI.

Yup, also if you are playing as Boston you can trade him for a high end player.

Is that right, @TotesMuhGotes? What team were you playing as when you traded for him? He's someone I've wanted to acquire in a few of my M2O's (especially with my White Sox) but I was worried about this being a problem.

In my most recent Indians M2O, I managed to execute a trade for Andrew Miller, who was also in Triple-A prior to acquiring him from the Cardinals. You would think as long as the overall comes in above your other options at the position, they would automatically be put on your Major League roster -- especially considering we're playing what is essentially a one-year game mode. I know you can continue on from the end of the season to turn it into a multi-year Franchise but a lot of us aren't going to be doing that.

Same goes for Noah Syndergaard, he had Tommy John surgery so they moved him to AAA in the game.

I was playing as the Astros. The trade was Josh James and a couple of B prospects for Sale. So my trade included my number five starter. After the trade, the CPU moved Austin Pruitt from the pen to my number five spot and called up a third catcher who was a 72 OVR to fill the 26 man roster.

I just looked and Sale is indeed not on the 40-Man. I'd assume because he is on the 60 day IL in real life they chose to remove him from the 40-Man roster in game. I wished I would have looked at that before the trade!

I completely understand this for the sake of realism, as more often than not, it would bother me in regular Franchise but I don't like it for M2O as nobody is playing M2O for realism (considering we can't have all real minor-leaguers)
