I’m a middle aged dad gamer myself, and I love all the guys they just added. My favorite player was Eric’s high school teammate at Crenshaw (Darryl Strawberry), and keep hoping they’ll put him in the game too.

Small sample so far, but I’ve been using ED in center, and he’s been great. I have Mantle, Walker and Reggie in my god squad outfield, so I don’t know if he’ll make that cut, but he seems absolutely usable. As a fan, you should definitely use him! If Strawberry ever comes out, he’ll have a permanent spot in Right for me, regardless of other “better” cards.

Side Note: They did Eric dirty with his player model, and face specifically. He looks like an emaciated northern African more than himself.

I think his card art is dope, in game facial features I agree though. Side note I had no clue Davis and Strawberry were tight as kids, those are two of my favorite players ever. If they add Strawberry to this game over the next couple years I'll be so hype.

Same here man...Crenshaw was STACKED back then. They had Davis, Strawberry, and Giants 3B Chris Brown.

Always give a much closer look at the card if I was a fan of his as a kid. Henke made my team for this reason plus he looks good.

Same for me! 42 here and I can't hit hardly for squat. Eric Davis Rookie card was the first baseball card I ever got from a show back in the day! Even as a life long Braves fan, that dude could play!!! I still keep Chipper in most of the time even though I'm average hitting with him, just because...he's f'n Chipper and one of my favs!

My ideal outfield on The Show would be Eric Davis in Center, Strawberry in Right, and Manny Ramirez in Left. I'd rep an all silver infield to make that happen haha.

The Dodgers came close to that back in the 90's. They had an outfield of Strawberry (broke my heart as a Mets fan, but lived in SoCal, so I got to see him more), Eric Davis and I think Kal Daniels.

Yeah unfortunately ED and Darryl on the Dodgers didn't work out.

Middle aged Reds fan here too. I agree this is the first year that i cant seem to hit with Larkin, but bash with Davis. I am also a 600 RS player, but since switching to SZ2 i should be able to make DS this season.

Awesome too see some good folks here. I did like Strawberry as well but with his off field issues not sure he can make the game sadly. Now with baseball cards....I still have a Dwight Gooden rookie card. Not worth anything but still have it.

Strawberry obviously had his off field issues but why can't he be in the game? They have some PED guys on the show, and other players that had issues. Strawberry turned his life around, beat cancer, and helps recovering addicts now for a living. He should be on it year in year out.

I hit ropes with Larkin at first say 40 AB, haven't hit anything solid with him in a while. Switched back to Hanley and stinging it, mis the speed and defense tho.

I’m not saying he Strawberry shouldn’t be. I’m just saying with the way people are these days some may throw a fit. I would love too see him in game.

I'm biased but I've ripped with Larkin since the day I got him. Perfect 2 hole hitter and surprisingly hits a lot of bombs for me. Even on Hall of Fame.

@RonnieGant1992 i couldn’t agree more. The wish list for players from my age bracket is long and full of mistakes.

@RonnieGant1992 im assuming you may be with that name. Reds I love but I grew up hating the [censored] braves because they were so good. Respect especially for Chipper Jones...one of the best. [censored] I hated him. Lol.

As a Mets fan, I share your hatred of the GODDAMN Braves. Screw those guys for making the 90's an unbearable hellscape for us.

You don't have to tell me. Living off the fumes of 1986 here...lol. Dude there were a few reasons I remember that series:

    • That A's team was supposed to destroy you guys, and who doesn't love a good underdog story?

    • Margie Schott was taking a TON of heat during the series for being so cheap

    • I think it was Glenn Bragg that swung so hard he broke a bat on his back. Pretty sure it was in one of the games at Oakland.
