I’ve been playing other games lately. I’ve just fired the show up for the new inning and of course, start with the showdown.

IMHO, the game needs to find another way to make it challenging than nerfing the results of good swings and throwing balls.

Two out of my three first challenges fail on good swings by great hitters leading to line outs or warning track outs.

There needs to be another explanation than, “it happens in baseball”. It’s just too arbitrary.

While I respect your right to your opinion, in my opinion if you dont like the "thats baseball" argument you shouldn't be playing a baseball game because that is indeed baseball. Sometimes you square up the ball perfectly but it was just the perfect pitch location to neutralize your power.

I don't think people are complaining about pitches on the hands not clearing the wall by 100 ft. They are complaining that at times a pitch on the hands clears the wall by 100 ft., while a squared up hanger goes for a line out or deep fly out.

Sometimes is fine. Most of the time is just silly, to me.

I can guarantee with 100% certainty that you're perfect/perfect batting average is at the absolute worst .750 or above. So its not most of the time. It just seems more often because its easy to exaggerate when you're frustrated. I did the same thing when I got the game then I tracked my perfrct/perfects and realized it was way more rewarding than I thought

    That's Baseball.

I have been tracking my perfect/perfects. I’ve found that the average varies quite a bit depending on the mode.

I think I’m about 3/13 in showdowns at the moment.

Also, the whole thing about good/good, good/ok etc where the hall is smack dab in the middle of the PCI and yet you get negative exit velo is what I’m talking about.

Believe me, it’s not out of frustration. I haven’t been playing the game much. It just really stands out when you do come back after playing something else for a while.

Yeah they really neef exit velo when you play the boss. I hit at least 5 warning track shots on that short field with 85+ power guys. Less velo to the pitch speed even tho it’s good good and right on the top reticle mark. They totally made hr/9 live in this showdown. It should be a sim stat..... don’t even get me started on confidence, that’s complete bs, that should never affect exit velocity or hit strength, only ability to hit spots.

I have no issues with showdown. Seems these player moments and RS get me. It’s crazy how random the game truly is in RS.
