Thoughts on DH for DD

There are many great hitters in this game who don’t get utilized due to their poor fielding numbers. This would help the dead spots at the end of your batting rotation. Since they update the game based on official mlb rules, now that the season is underway with a universal DH, could we see that in a new update, what are your thoughts?

I surely hope not. I'm all for a universal DH in the real MLB, but not for DD in MLB The Show.

I don’t think this year we will. I would also love to see it due to players with horrible fielding being unusable like kiner and Braun and Ruth

100% agree. I'm probably in the minority but I don't like the dh in real life and I sure hope they don't add it in DD. I like the strategy involved in the game when your pitcher has to bat.

I don't like changing it this year at all. If it was still March or April sure but don't change the game mid year. Now next year is a different story and they decide to make it a full time rule change in MLB then it should be in the game.

Honestly Ruth played great for me last year on the field. Granted, that's last year and this year's fielding is well...you already know

I'm very mixed on it. It would be cool to get a bat like Killebrew, Ortiz, or Konerko into your lineups without feeling their defensive liabilities, at all. But at the same time, it would kind of make our bench bats much less important. If there were some way to have it for some games but not all, I would be cool with it.

I’m with you man. I hate it when pitchers bat. Super dumb. Makes me forfeit a great hitter that could be there and a pitcher every time my batting order goes around. Sucks big time. -

That is an amazing idea. Have the home team turn DH on/off. This is more like real baseball. I'd occasionally play in DH games as the away team while never using one at home. Brilliant!
