depends on how close you are. If you have all the cards including trout and are just wondering if you should lock him in then yes because mantle is the best card in the game and he will stay that way. Switch hitting speed power hitter Diamond Fielding once he's prestiged he is unbelievable and tracks everything down in the field. I do not think trout will be used in ranked seasons for much longer. I did not hit that great with Sheffield but I love biggio. Other people are different. Plus you get a whole lot of XP doing it but you are pretty much lacking in all those stubs just for mantle and biggio in my opinion

Trout has all the quirks and he's about to get the daily boosts, he will be in vogue shortly.

All the quirks? I think you mean, perks.

No, it's not worth 1 million subs or whatever it costs to lock every card in. I did it, I don't regret it, but it's never worth it.

The best bet is to be patient, spend those stubs on bosses, Duck cards, etc. The best cards won't be in collections, and you'll never use LS cards anyway. Why lock in cards you won't use?

Best card out there now and will likely be best hitter card even after all the “end game” cards come out. Certainly top 3.

I always feel it's best to lock the collection in as early as possible that way you can get tons of it bats and games with him. The point in locking someone like mantle so late in the season is a waste of stubs in my opinion but if you lock him in early he was the only 99 available that early besides the other big bosses biggio on Sheffield

Trout is the last LS card I need, I’m trying, but it feels like the game is pitted against me at this point. I get more and more discouraged every time I see the streamers pull Trout for the seemingly 10,000th time.

It’s not worth it. I’d rather have the stubs then Mantle, biggie, sheffield and all the live series players.

There is nothing worth spending Stubbs on. So might as well finish it. All the best or close to the best cards come from grinding.

Really the only thing to spend Stubbs on is relievers. Game gives you soooo much free stuff. You will always have enough stubs for whoever comes out in packs

The top love series cards seem to be slowly dropping in price as these better cards come out. The longer you wait, I think the cheaper it will get.

I have the Yankees, Astros, Mets, Nats, Rockies, and a Dodgers left. Basically have 30 players on each team already and need the expensive diamonds so yeah I’ll lock them in

Biggie kills lefties. I'm just upset that 2Pac only got 85 speed and gold fielding.

6 high diamonds away from completing LS. Going to finish it now, it'll be the first year I do so.

I'm surprised anyone does those silly collections and lock in so many stubs, foolishness unless you are the ones that keep winning high diamonds, unlike myself who gets bs every time

I have the same mindset. Sure if you can drop the cash or get lucky + grind and get him early enough then maybe there is some value. Probably moreso this year than in past years since so many ppl had nothing but time to play the game but in general? Meh. No thanks. Plenty of other great cards that I can suck with instead lol

I'm still about 1.1 M stubs away from locking Mantle and decided it's not worth buying all the expensive cards I won't use. Prefer to use stubs on the new 99s plus I can sell back cards if I dont like them.

You still have until February of next year to use him if you get him now. That's 8 months of use if you keep playing. Why do you think its so late?

I myself was just thinking this too and was about to make a similar post. I'm sitting on 200k stubs and pretty much the only diamonds I have left are the high diamonds except Cole. So I still need an additional 500k and just thinking I'm still so far off just exhausts and annoys me. I really want Mantle but just don't really know if it's worth the long [censored] grind nowadays.
