There are going to be better SS in the game coming soon
I disagree. Honus will be the only shortstop worth starting over banks for the rest of the year IMO. Ripken's swing is booty and all the other SS from previous years just don’t have the power that banks has
We will revisit this in 5 days when 30 new 99 TA cards drop for free. Banks is OK, I enjoyed using him enough I suppose. But he's not 180K OK.
His price will go down. They will release plenty more ducks packs for free later on. And I guess we will see about TA3. I personally don’t think they will be 99s because there is literally no other place to release the 96-98 sig/prime/awards cards at this point. Even if there are 99s in TA3 I think it’s fairly safe to say 20-23 or so will be outfielders, pitchers or first baseman so I still don’t think there aren’t going to be many cards that compete with banks for a spot at short. Other than CAP, Honus, and a potential finest lindor/awards Trevor story, they just won’t have the power that Banks has. You could play a 99 Chipper there, sure, but his fielding wouldn’t be up to par
Everyone is trying to downplay Banks, I don’t get it. Easily the best SS in the game right now, guy hits everything hard.
I have over 100 AB's with him online, like I said, he's fine. But with the content this year, he won't be the only option, or the best. To assume the best SS of the year is out already is short sided IMO. Use him, love him, keep him, nothing wrong with that.
Cutch hits better for me than Mantle, everyone has different experiences with the game, that's what makes it fun to play.
Well said, the only flaw with your logic is saying it would be short sided to have the best SS out already. The best SP in the game came out immediately once the game released. If we’re talking stats it’s one thing, but everyone knows players stats don’t mean everything with this game. It’s entirely possible that Banks ends up being the most user-friendly SS in the game.
I disagree with this. If you are talking about Corey Kluber, he is actually fairly easy to hit. He isnt like a 99 Chris Sale or King Felix.

The only one who will top Banks is Super Rare Honus and if my dreams come true, Mariners 2000 Alex Rodriguez (not likely)

That would be soooo sick lol

Would you say Banks is a top-3 end game card? If so, I’ll just wait until his price drops a little.

I would argue CAP is better than Honus or Banks.

It’s not even an arguement, you could literally just put Banks swing and height on a CAP. The arguement would be you aren’t improving the position like you are others but every position is extremely deep this year and the 99s aren’t even out yet. The best Shortstops always going to be a diamond fielding diamond hitting 99 speed+reactions CAP.

Chapman will be a top reliever all year, if not the top. He also strikes people out the same regardless of how many stubs people paid for him. I’d rather have him earlier than hope his card drops rather than rises.

There could be a 18’ Finest Lindor dropping but I don’t think they would drop new cards of the past till LATE end game
I still use his LS, Lindor is a beast

Yo start falling in price. We already know Chapman end game, but is Ernie Banks?
Made close to 250k stubs since Friday. Bought Chapman just now as a treat. Even if he drops more, doesn’t matter.
Wondering if Banks worth it. Right now I have Larkin. Correa as a bench replacement. Didn’t play last year and only till July in 18. Who may come later that would be better than Banks
I don't see much of a need to spend stubs on hitters. Pitchers on the other hand are in dire need.
I'll be buying Mize and Chapman. If they keep dropping 98 bellinger cards for free, why would I ever invest stubs in my position players.

This is by far the best Ernie Banks the Show has ever seen. He’s smooth in the field too.
I love the card. Sold him because I knew his price would drop, but missed using him so I bought him back.
Some cards are just fun to use!

Just wait for Jeter to arrive
