99 overall future stars

I'm not to big a fan of them myself, but I wouldn't go as far as to say it's disrespectful. I doubt 99.9% of real players care or even give a single thought to it.
Think you might be putting a little to much stock in ratings.

We've come this far. At this point, if you're a top 10 prospect, a 99 makes sense. They have already doubled down...
Franco, Lux, Pearson, etc to come I'm sure.

As a trainer for an NHL team, I can assure you players know what their ratings are, and care maybe too much about them.

About their own ratings, that is different. I don't think they are losing sleep at night thinking about 99 Mize though, that was my point. Disrespectful is the wrong word to use. More like, we're ready to move on from prospects.

I can understand the high ratings for prospects, but until they prove themselves I don’t believe they should get a 99. That would be like madden giving college draftees a 99 in the game. If you havent earned it you don’t deserve the highest rating

It’s a fantasy game with fantasy stats, yes these players haven’t proved themself yet but I think it’s good for baseball overall. How many people knew about minor league players besides the big names in their own teams they follow? SDS from what I understand has worked for a couple years to get the rights to the minor leagues and finally got them this year so they’re proud of their deal by all of these future star cards. Getting retired players isn’t cheap as I believe they have to work out a deal with each player/family to get their rights. Just enjoy the content that’s coming out, my guess is that we are in the final few future cards coming out and the rest of the way will be current and former players.

But by having an agreement with Minor league system that why the create the fantasy prospect with the diamond ratings.If we dont get content we complain and when they try to do something with a game that has its season shut down we still complain

A guy with a negative career WAR, and a slugging % of .262

So in other words no new cards and everybody with the same lineup. Great when that happened last year everyone complained and this year the have future stars and since people dont know them they dont like them.
There is no way to please the people because the people have all the answers.
So since they cant get more "legends" future stars are bad.

I also play Fifa Ultimate Team where a Future Stars event was released and in that game there were no 99’s for the 20 or so players that were released. DD however, has a much quicker progression of players overall through the Inning programs etc. i think it is actually a good idea to utilize the different player categories and have high overalls from all of them. Prime, Veteran, Future Stars, or Legend. It keeps the game fun and has unique content. As a Twins fan, I’m hoping a multi-positional Royce Lewis gets released at a 99 ovl.
