I’m thinking Thome. He just got into the Hall of Fame, his swing is in the game, and we need 1st baseman. He’s also more deserving of a 99 than Raines.

Raines would be an ideal switch hitting leadoff hitter for many and he’s worthy of a 99.

Thome doesn’t excite me personally, but I’m all for new legends getting cards. He’s another McCovey, Gehrig, Giambi, Ortiz. Plenty of LH 1B are going to be up for grabs.

Thome makes sense.. especially since he's on MLB Network, where most are/have been in the game.
I'd be happy to use a Thome card. He would be similar to A's Giambi. Big time power.
