Idea to fix the Kluber/Hal conundrum
-
So last year it was Nolan/Kershaw, This year it’s Kluber/Hal. If you’re like me you’re tired of seeing one of these two EVERY SINGLE GAME. Not because they are too hard to play against but because it just gets old & repetitive. The game has been out since March & these are still the two pitchers you face more than all others combined. This is my idea for next year that I hope SDS considers....
Make the choice packs consist of your choice of one of twenty-five 99 overall pitchers. Over the course of progression you get to pick 5 total. These are no sell as well. This would assure much more diverse pitching rotations than what we see. If you want control guys then pick a 99 Maddux or Glavine. Prefer flame throwers? Grab a Hal or Cole....To me this would be so much better than seeing the SAME TWO GUYS EVERY GAME.

I like this idea but 25 is almost too much. They wouldn't have any pitchers left to drop in packs or programs that deserved to be a 99

Just don't have pitchers in the XP reward path... having a 99 at level 40 is super unbalanced for how they released cards this year. People had Kluber within a day of the game being out, 3 months later he is still the best pitcher.
-
You’re on the right track, but the game always has collection rewards so you’d be messing up their completion or making it such that players could not physically collect all, in this case, pitchers. I guess unless when you hit 99 prestige or diamond then you’re able to have a grab all option.
Maybe something where it eliminates selection options until the end where you pick what you don’t have, IE first go you pick Kluber, silver go at it you’re unable to pick Hal and have to take position, then next go you have to grab pitcher, etc
-
Or, just eliminate pitchers from selection anyway? Keep it end game esque cards like it is but at positions

Not much of a choice when you're told you can't choose some.
even if they removed pitchers completely,I don't see how it would be any different, you'd still have 50post a day of who's the best pitcher or what's your rotation, etc
and ppl would still have the same top 2 or 3 "the consensus best available" -

and ppl would still have the same top 2 or 3 "the consensus best available"It would not be even close to the issue it is now if the best pitchers in the game were not given away within weeks of the game being out! It's mostly a balance issue of the pitching talent compared to what available on the market. If you have a 99 pitcher availble when the game is released, he should be equally if not harder to obtain then the elite positions players (Mantle). Not far easier.
-
Give an option to exchange the pack for 75k stubs. Tons of people would take that resulting in way less of them out there
-
The new patch should curb this since pitchers now don't regenerate any stamina after a game they pitched in.
Pre patch 1.13 if you used Kluber for two innings and took him out, he'd regain that stamina after the game creating a never ending cycle.
Now, if you bring him in for two innings, he won't get any regeneration. Your have to play another game and not use him for him to regenerate stamina.

99s in the reward path should be like gold or diamond give you something to go for.

I don’t get the issue with Kluber and Hal. I almost never see Hal anymore and he is so freaking easy to pick up and hit if you time his separation. Kluber you have seen so much you know what to expect from him. Even on Legend Kluber is hitable
-
I have luck hitting Kluber, Hal... not so much
-
i like the choices idea. As someone else said still highest ranked pitchers so makes sense
