Todd Zeile & Ellis Burks baby!

Both those players had good careers, unless I'm missing something.

All these ridiculous & absurd future stars cards incoming got me remembering my childhood baseball card collection. I’m in my 40’s so alot of you won’t get this but to those of you that do......Remember how every card company back then were marketing hard the top prospect Todd Van Poppel? TONS of incredible cards with the best card art dedicated to him & all us kids were buying them all up because we’d be able to retire off his rookie cards. Yeah.....Dude was a total bust just like most of these future stars cards will be as well. How about SDS put out more cards of players who have earned the right to be featured prominently in this game. That’s all, Rant over.

Now without googling it, who was the number one overall draft pick from that same draft? Hint.... He would help transform a franchise into a perennial contender?

I got some of these cards from the QVC channel. I spent watching these Baseball Card shows ......David Justice had a tight card once. I play The Show mostly just to collect cards. My goal is to own every sellable card by the start of 21,

I’m thinking the Braves made the right choice. A little ironic that that draft produced one of the best picks of all time and one the biggest busts of all time

The Braves were already turning into perennial contenders before chipper ever put on a big league uniform. And chipper didn’t start producing in a big way until 96, and the Braves were already dominant by then.

Thats what I was thinking. When I think of those Braves teams Chipper doesnt come to mind right away. Obviously Maddux, Glavine and Smoltz, then maybe David Justice.

He was robbed of the ROY award in 95. And there is no way the Braves win 14 straight division titles without Chippers yearly contributions. Yes they were producing before he ever put a mlb uniform on but the year they drafted him (1990) they finished in last place and lost 100 games. The next heart they would play The Twins in what many consider to be one of the greatest World Series of all time because of the storylines involved and the fact that both teams were worst to first teams and the first teams to accomplish that feat.

As a life long tribe fan reading his name still triggers me. The freaking heartache this guy gave us. A monster in AAA and would flop every single time he was called up. He had all the chances in the world during the Manny Acta era. He's a true AAAA player. Also, he's a realtor now...so yeah, life comes at you fast.

Us Brewers fans appreciate him, since he was the centerpiece for the Sabathia deal. LOL.

Lol yeah we both won. Very rare that happens, CC was a monster for you guys. Probably the best version of CC is in a Milwaukee uni. We traded him since he was not re-signing with Cleveland at end of year & got Brantley out of it.
