SDS, will pitching be adjusted at all during this game cycle?
-
Zero gameplay updates have been made to pitching. There has been a lot of complaints regarding the state of pitching.
I just want to know if any adjustments are being considered for pitching? I don't need details, just a simple yes or no.

no they want the inflated hitting stats to make everyone feel good, they havent mentioned one thing about pitching and it has been broken since day one

This is an excellent question and a huge problem. I wanted to post something along these lines in the 1.13 update thread, but it’s too soon to draw any conclusions about the patch, although my feeling is it’s just a ploy to justify or mask the terrible feedback that rarely makes sense. Time will tell in that regard, but as for pitching.......
One of the main issues I have with the game is that there is far too much offense, far too many hits and home runs in particular and pitching is pretty much irrelevant in this years game. Now we have another patch that’s apparently designed to buff hitting and give more good contact results. Great. More never ending games with football scores. Just what we all wanted to see.

See that's the thing though, they didn't change anything about hitting. They are just including more info on the swing feedback and your opponent can see it too.
This is just going to open the door for more complaining every time a hit falls and the feedback is poor. The game, in it's current state, puts to much into offensive performance and not enough into pitching.
Everything is geared towards the hitter. Strikezone is small, 50/50 balls go to the hitter. Offspeed pitches like to hang. The only counter measure is an effective sinker.
What speaks volumes to me is this simple stat. Look at the data they and see how doubles have been hit compared to HR. For a game that calls itself a simulation, how is there more HR's hit than doubles? In the entire history of MLB, there has never been a season where more HR's were hit than doubles.

Nope. Pitching is a disaster, or as Ramone said, pitching is “hard”.
-
I am the opposite. I can’t hit at all. I win most games with 3 runs. All my ERA’s are under 3. I just can’t hit for [censored].

As I said in the opening part of my reply earlier, my feeling is that the all new improved feedback is just a ploy to mask the bizarre and illogical feedback/ batted ball outcomes that often popped up. Nothing I’ve seen in my RS games today has really changed my opinion so far.
ERA are too high in RS currently. While pitching being an afterthought plays a part in this, the constant complaints about hitting not being rewarding enough are also responsible. Now hitting is far too OP, there are far too many runs per game on average and yet I can guarantee you’ll still see a ton of complaints about hitting. It’s just getting silly now, to be honest. This game barely resembles actual baseball these days.

They will never, ever answer this or any other question with a meaningful response. The most specific response we could hope for is the standard (and tired) “we are listening to your concerns and working to improve the gaming experience.”

No gameplay adjustments to pitching but expect a huge update with a whole new revamped pitching window with shiny new details on why your perfect input pitch was hung in the middle of the zone. YEEEEEEAH!!! That's what we need, problem solved games great again
