Rating Mod

What does the rating mod do?
-
It used to adjust your range for DD RS match-ups. For example, if you're ranked 500 and have a rating mod of 102, it was "as if" your rating was a bit higher and it would look for people rated as like 550, or something along those lines.
SDS: Can you please confirm if Rating Mod is back in the game? People say it was removed last year with a patch, but no one is really sure if it's back for MLB20???
-
It feels like it since the start of the new RS. Getting matched up with guys ranked top 2K while I'm in the 8K range.
-
Don’t think it’s relevant.
-
SDS should stop leaving the player base in the dark regarding these problems and just clear up any confusion. It's the least they could do considering we paid hard earned money for their product.
-
For real this is not a hard question to put out an answer for.
-
It’s not active and hasn’t been since last year.
-
It's not active, I am at 904 when I search for a game my search bar is 836-971, if rating mod was active my search bar would start at 1114

Ok the rating mod has nothing to do with ranking and all to do with lineup strength. The whole point was to match you up based on lineup strength relative to ranking. Meaning you would be matched with those with similar mods and rank. So if your playing with a “god squad” it should match you up with someone also using a “god squad” and not someone using a LS squad. The idea was scrapped because you had guys purposely using lower rated players to get matched with less skilled opponents to get easy wins. So now the mod rating is basically just a way to compare the strength of your lineup to a normal lineup of LS players. Mine is currently sitting at 194.

Never mind!

Yes and no, the rating mod tried to balance team strength vs “skill” the thought process was someone rated 800 with a lower level team would be more evenly matched with someone rated 650-700 with a god squad, so ranking did play a part in it.
