Sharper at 60fps?
-
Any word if anything has been done to mlbts 20 to make 2160p run any closer to 60fps? I feel like playing on sharper will give me the lowest input lag for my tv, but it is pretty choppy on this year’s game. Actually, I’m not even sure if the PS4 pro can handle 4K games at that frame rate. Anybody know?

I’m not sure but I experience the same thing. When it’s on 1080p through the game settings it’s choppy, when I switch to balanced it’s mostly smooth, and when I switch to sharper it is choppy, no question about it. I haven’t heard anything but I would assume that will be fixed in 21 when the PS5 has a major overhaul of upgraded components that can handle the software.

I hope the ps5 adds 1080p @120hz. My tv is supposed to handle that with a 10 ms input lag. It currently handles 1080p at 60hz with a 40ms lag.

I have a feeling it will still be standard at 60hz bc so many people still don’t have 120hz tv refresh rates, but I bet there will be options for the playstation to go up should you want to

From my own experience MLB plays best on 1080p and “faster” which is available on the pro. And for what it’s worth my Pro runs fortnite on 60 frames which stutters constantly.

So, my tv does 1080p @60hz with a 40ms input lag. It does 2160p with a 23ms input lag. It’s supposed to do 1440 with around 23ms too, but because the PS4 pro doesn’t do that resolution natively, I’m not sure how much additional lag is being created.
