Good/Okay has Ruined Online Gameplay
-
Since the last patch that “increased timing windows” and “increased PCI size”, we’ve all been plagued by countless good/okays on countless swings with the ball encompassed by the PCI.
So much for marketing and hyping up that new hitting engine and 3 dot system at the beginning of launch. Hitting makes 0 sense. Online gameplay as a whole is pathetic and it’s about time for another hiatus from this game, it’s just not worth my time anymore
Good timed swings with the ball literally in the position of your hyped up 3 tier PCI hitting system resulting in okay contact? Yeah, really great gameplay and programming.
20 has been a joke and the only thing that will make me buy 21 is the PS5 and hopes that competent programmers can make a decent game with it.
Until then, it’s only June and my desire to play this game is nose diving the more I play Ranked. [censored] is just frustrating when the game played great online at the beginning and now we’re stuck with garbage online gameplay that is masked by content. Why did I expect anything else...

Constant foul balls on [censored] timing has ruined online gameplay. Agree with your point, but the foul balls are absurd
-
Totally agree with you. And that’s a result of those increased timing windows which did nothing to improve hitting.
Pitching was terrible to begin with and now we have foul balls on swings where the hitter flails...realistic

Join our league, man. It's on legend, and it actually plays a lot better than RS. Nowhere near as many good/okays
-
You're not wrong. I can definitely say I'm not having as much fun playing "competitive" or whatever foreign concept that is with this tragically good/okay game. The stuff myself and others have experienced is inexcusable.
I'm still here because of content, free time on my hands (blessing), being a huge baseball person. I spend most of my time playing much better video games where user input is the end all/be all. As it should be.

Sending you a PM anyway. We've got a solid discord that's open to whoever and if you want to join the league at some point, you're able to.

Yes, 100% the Good/Okay is killing me bad. So many times I have to be just missing the squared up by 1 mm. And its only OKAY contact???? Makes no sense at all.
-
Good/Okay I have learned to live with. Good/Popped is the one that makes me want to lose my mind. Late/popped...okay, early/popped...ok but most of the time there is zero PCI different between a home run and a good/popped to the catcher.
-
Thing is, I don’t really approve of all the gameplay patches either. You release a game with a 9 month lifespan and you’re still trying to get gameplay right after 1/3 of the time has elapsed? You’ve failed.

The good/ok has a lot less to do with the patch that opened up timing windows than the patch 1.04 which added more random outcomes to good swings.
Believe me, the timing window patch just means there are more good timed swings. The ok part comes from the randomization of the outcome.
