How about trying a bunt to get your winning run in. From my experience the CPU will almost always take the out at first rather than try to get the runner at home.
The infield was in...it is super annoying

Yeah, they can be worse at times. But you don't have to pay to enter and you can retry them

I'm playing the 4th inning showdown and it's tied 15-15 with 3 outs and a runner on third, Swanson up. Good good ground out to shortstop. I was a little mad. Then Xavier Edwards hits a late jammed that should have fallen but the left fielder makes a great running catch. I'm stressed at this point. Avisial Garcia is now up, good squared up to 2nd base for a lineout. This mode is BS, you waste peoples time by not rewarding them when they make good contact. If SDS doesn't take this out of the game or start rewarding us then I'm not gonna buy the game next year. I've officially been fed up with the game and they need to fix it

Showdown is a great addition to the game and actually requires to be play differnt from most modes.
You need patience to wait for your pitch and take walks to out pressure on the pitchers.
The mode is about winning for sure but the Stub and XP your earn while playing is a win in its self.
I'm not saying it's perfect and there are elements that feel off but to say it needs to be completely removed is a little of an over reaction.

I agree, as suggested before even if I lose I recoup the cost easily. Makes me work harder for the next attempt

I like Showdown, and play it a lot. It takes drafting, and combines it with many different in game scenarios. People just get too worked up and stressed over the Showdown moments.

Not that I think OP is right, but you should be able to contact swing for a fly ball to score that run. Any minor league to major leaguer could do that.

SDS should let us pay stubs to reenter with the progress where we failed rather than repeating the entire grind. When we lose a Conquest game, we don't have to restart the entire map - just replay that game.

What I read was that RNG wasn’t on your side and because of that, you want other players that like Showdown to suffer.
Just because you don’t like Turtles doesn’t give you the power to deprive others of their Turtle love.
