Ok mgunski one of the top players in this game is not streaming it as of today because it’s a [censored] show. What about rebel, he rarely streams. This game is so messed up it’s a joke. Hell I love showdown, but I can barely stomach that because of the good okay fest
You love showdown...but can barely stomach It? How does that work exactly?

The Bottom line is, this games is atrocious. So many players in the community has multiple problems with it.
blah blah blah the game is so bad but I can't articulate why so I am going to cry on the forums blah blah blah

Just curious... what is the main complaint? I still enjoy the game and play fairly often, even though the sheer amount of home runs is a little ridiculous (probably because I can't win enough to break into the HOF RS yet). I see plenty of complaints about that. However, I tend to see just as much complaining about the good/okay contact... are there people who actually want every well-timed swing to result in a hard drive? Sure, it's a little frustrating when when you time a pitch down the heart and pop it up, but real baseball is hard; real players have plenty of pitches that they anticipate, time well, and just get a bit off-target with the barrel (round bat, round ball). If good/okay weren't a thing, people would score 15+ every game...

Love seeing are the trash players getting exposed this year. User skillz pay the billz. You are just not as good as you thought you were. Simple

To start, "If good/okay weren't a thing, people would score 15+ every game..." simply isn't true. Most folks, some even with WS banners, struggle to truly square up more than one ball per inning.
The complaints almost entirely stem from good input, however you want to define it, not resulting in positive outcomes the majority of the time. It's a video game and users want to feel like they're in control, especially in a H2H setting where most are playing to determine who the best player is in that specific game, not who gets the best dice rolls (ie. defeats the purpose). Also, you specified timing which makes me think you use either directional or analog hitting. The hitting complaints are strictly from a zone perspective.

Show '19 says hello and to come back and visit every now and then
And the theme song for that game is "Take me down to the lineout city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty, oh won't you please line me out woa woa"

Yeah, probably a little hyperbole there with the 15+.
Makes sense that this is coming from a zone perspective, then, if timing is removed from the equation. In fairness, though, if timing is essentially removed when using zone hitting, what option does SDS have, then, but to introduce a random aspect to compensate for that? Sure, it's a video game and people can't seem to wrap their heads around losing sometimes, but it's purpose is to simulate real play, and that's what baseball is all about; hitting is timing and pitching is the disruption of timing. If my enjoyment is based solely on wanting a consistent result when hitting a moving target by lining it up in my crosshairs, then I'll just fire up the VR and play Space Pirate Trainer (awesome, by the way). Everyone's got their own deal, though, regardless of whether or not I agree. I just can't get over using a PCI. So not baseball, to me, and I could care less if it's easier to hit that way.
So, yeah, I use analog because it feels most like throwing a barrel at a pitch, and specifically because I have to time it. I do get my [censored] handed to me plenty by people who seem to be able to knock well executed sliders down and away over the center field fence multiple times a game, but I usually hang about 15 games over .500, which, in baseball, is pretty good.
Your answer makes sense, though, so thank you - I appreciate you not being a [censored] in getting your point across.

No problem.
I think I miscommunicated my point about timing - It's not about removing timing from the equation at all. The reason zone players complain is because getting both the timing and PCI location simultaneously correct is really hard and when you don't get consistently rewarded for achieving something that's challenging... you get the complaints you see daily on here. I'm definitely not advocating, or have seen anyone else advocating, that timing should be removed from zone.

Interesting, no one's talking about how they basically got rid of pauses after making contact on swings online. Seriously, that was one of my biggest pet peeves in previous years. But hey, the fielding seems a bit better, less problems with locking into animations and the ball doesn't seem to drop in front of outfielders as much.

Pauses after making contact?

The game is far from perfect but I think it compares favorably to MLB games of the recent past and other sports games. If I had my druthers, there would be a lot more doubles and fewer HRs, but other than that and some other smaller issues I think the game is quite good. I can't speak for everyone but hitting seems to reward good contact more now than it has in a while
-
The game isnt bad at all. Unless you want to play competitively against others H2H. Then it is horrible. Every other aspect of the game is great. But I use to love playing RS and being competitive but they keep taking that away from every year more at a time. You cannot have any fun playing someone knowing it is out of you or their hands. No one enjoys that except for kids.

Yeah, in previous years the screen would pause for a second or two after making contact. I don't really notice that much at all this year. It only occurred during online play and not on offline. Lag was so much more of an issue in previous iterations, but of course there's new issues popping up every year.

The game is [censored] tbh. All sports games are dead.

Ping based match making and ping indicators are the only way to show true skill. I'm convinced you actually work for SDS because you are clueless about this even though almost every online multiplayer game has this now. Other games are actually aware of the problems matching people with very different ping.
