Way to avoid Kluber
-
Since Kluber is the only 99 he’s going to everyone’s ace if he’s in their rotation. So just match up with an opponent and listen to see if they scroll down pitchers on the selection screen. If they don’t, you know it’s Kluber, if they go one down, it’s probably Newhouser if they have him.
This isn’t perfect as some just scroll to see if they’re the home team and could go back up to Kluber. It also doesn’t eliminate him coming out of the pen. But it has seemed to help since I started paying attention to this.
-
Why post this idea. There is enough players backing out of matchups to play only home games. Imagine if players now start backing out to try an avoid facing Kluber too.
-
I put my Kluber in the 3rd spot

A very small percentage of players read anything on here. Just helping some people out to play against more variety of pitchers.

How do you know if you’re the home team?

He will always be your #1 in the pitcher selection screen no matter where he is in your depth chart. No way around it until there are more 99s.

What's the point of posting this

Help people player more variety of pitchers.
Would be nice if SDS did something about starter stamina but that seems unlikely at this point.

Don't ruin the fun for other people trying it lol

Do this so when I click down twice and up twice you can be surprised when you face Kluber instead of my #5.

Come on man, no one uses a number 5.

Like I said, there’s ways around it for sure. Just helps with the guys that don’t scroll around.
-
So how can you tell you’re the home team in the pitcher selection menu?

I do. I don't care about my record and just want to use different pitchers.

If you don’t care about your record why do you write a novel on here every time you lose?

Or you can just learn how to hit him

It’s not about hitting him. It’s about facing the same pitcher every single game.
-
That’s why I always scroll through my pitchers even if I’m pitching kluber ️

The pitcher selection ignores your specified order and sorts by OVR descending.
-
Eh I don’t think this is necessarily a big problem anymore. I’ve noticed a lot of variety in pitchers in the last few weeks. There are way more options now so you’re not facing Kluber every game and at this point if you are he shouldn’t be as hard to hit.
