@msacks11 there not that bad. Keith Hernandez was lil tedious. What do you suggest SDS replace them with? I like the history involved, I didn’t know a thing about Al Kaline but then again Gen X > might not even care about the history of baseball

Ya either hate or love history class

If they played as advertised by difficulty, I'd be fine with it. There's no reason moments on Veteran should take too many attempts. There's no reason, and no matter the difficulty, the defense is making diving catches, robbing home runs, and catching and pulling [censored] back into play from foul territory on the level of incredulous consistency that is portrayed in moments. Veteran or All Star on one mode plays tremendously different on another mode. To the question, if not for stars, I wouldn't touch them. I've said before they're one of the best ideas to be innovated into the game, but the absolute bottom of the barrel implementation of that idea. I loathe them.

They are awful. Get an Xb hit, pitcher is on first base and will always stop on second lol

I'm not complaining that they are too hard or anything like that. I just want to know if its fun for anyone. Like if there wasn't program stars tied to it would anyone do them? It's just not very enjoyable to do "12 total bases in a single game" with a guy that has mid 60s power and a pitcher that would walk you in every at bat if you put the controller down and watched the screen. Id rather more conquest maps or even the crazy grinds like we had in 18 at this point.

It isn't 12 total bases...it's 6 but okay. These moments are perfect level, not too hard no

    Cant stand them.

Waiting during every at bat for the requisite 3 [censored] before getting a pitch to hit....sometimes then you still dont get one. Losing whole at bats because i need a double and the man at first wont advance past second unless it[censored] in the upper deck. Losing whole games because AI game flow caused me to only get 3 at bats. Suffering through having to get XBHs with a contact hitter going up against a sinker ball pitcher. Suffering through 7 game moments when all of these things happen leading to being a hit short.

Meanwhile you get zero team affinity, cant try out new cards, and spend most of your time waiting for "restart" to light up so you can click it.

I know some of those stat grinds in The Show 18 were tough, but you could always be making progress towards something else, too.
I preferred them in every way.

Moments are a dark cloud i cant wait to get over with.....

I wasn't talking about todays moments I was speaking in general and again I said I'm not complaining they are too hard I'm just saying they aren't fun. I didn't want this post to turn into the normal toxic fan boy stuff. I just wanted peoples opinion on if they're having fun playing moments.

Nope, not fun at all. I do as many missions I can to avoid moments. The only thing worse than moments is Showdown, which is essentially moments with no mulligans.

I hated showdown in the beginning but I have fun with it now.

Haven't touched them since Hernandez. Best thing to do ks just don't do them. I mean they'll always be there and if you're short of something in the programs then go ahead. That's been my approach. Although I am tempted to try Omar. SS is basically my only inconsistent spot

Omar wasn't bad but I always like Omar cards so it was worth it for me but I wouldn't call it fun.

I wish I could say the same, but i still get no enjoyment out of its even when I dont fail moments that I should easily beat.

Considering showdown is like a moments mini-game and is one of the main ways to get XP, stubs, players, etc, I'd rather not have to do MORE moments. Too many moments. Moments. Moments. Moments. 🤮

I like the idea of moments but for some reason SDS decided to lower the sliders to the point you feel like you are playing with a common rather than the diamond it's supposed to be. If they played honest, I would enjoy them.

I can handle the noodle bat but that combined with the pitchers refusal to throw in the strike zone is a bit much. Really needs to be one or the other but both is overkill. Need to make you feel like your actually reliving the moments not thinking wow this guy was the worst hitter of all time

I love drawing a walk in a game when you need 4 hits and you are the home team, so you are likely only getting 4 ABs.

Right? I walked on 6 pitches in the three hit game moment. I swang late at two [censored] to keep from walking on four pitches, and then the final pitch was so far outside it wasn't worth it. I just don't get why instead of making these fun they make them terrible.

Although Honus wasn't bad, Hernandez, Dawson, Vizquel, too many noodle bats. That 1 hit 1 steal took waaay longer than it needed to however bc the dumb AI always blocking the path

Not a fan. I have them all done except Pete Alonso and the Stage 2 affinity that I haven’t unlocked yet. But I generally dislike them. The only reason is for the program stars, XP, etc. Really, the program cards haven’t even been worth it. The POTM cards are worth it. Not the Honus, Vizquel, Dawson, etc. ones.
