Meaningless Feedback and Random Hangers
-
I am not one to really complain and honestly I do not post or read much here so maybe this topic has been beat to death already. But....
How do we all think this game is okay when hitting feedback is essentially meaningless and pitches will randomly not go where you want them despite perfect pulse/meter/analog?
I truly feel that if you don't hit a good-squared flyball or perfect-perfect flyball, you are better off having bad PCI placement and hoping the ball is hit somewhere vacant. Because anything else gets hit right at people and balls fully in the PCI, especially when the pitch is a Sinker, are registered as Okay contact which is just nutty. And the hanging pitches? To me that feels like some stupid equalizer but who knows
In any event, I've been playing the game less and less lately because of these issues and until they're truly addressed I don't know if I can have as much fun playing MLB The Show as I'd like to which is sad bc this is my first year of DD and I love everything about this game besides the gameplay itself

This has been the story this year unfortunately. Input doesnt seem to matter much. I wish the devs listen to the community and fix the game. I think i will always buy the game cause i like many others on here love baseball. But i find myself playing less and less online.

I had a game earlier today in which my pci was under the ball and it was a homerun.
Then I get home tonight and jump in for a game and it feels like I’m swinging a wet noodle against a 96mph fb. There’s just 0 consistency.

Yeah i think everyone wants consistency. I would like to be rewarded for my good input more often.

Just finished a game I should have won. I had kluber on the mound and struck out the first 7 batters. He finished with 16 through 7. His confidence was sky high and the game floats a slider right down the middle and he jacks one.

I played a game earlier with a man on 1st and 3rd with one out. Chipper up to bat against Kluber. Pretty sure the guy I was playing was a WS winner based on his icon. Anyways... sinker right down the middle on a 2-2 count. Perfect/Perfect double play. After that I pitched two batters and just said screw it. Not dealing with that BS against solid competition just out of principle. I’m sure I could have tried to hang around until the 6th inning momentum swung my way, but who wants to battle the games predetermined results
