Anyone have any idea why the SDS guys aren’t doing any of their live streams this year (hyping up Programs, card reveals, etc)? The easy guess would be Covid...but it seems like doing some sort of zoom livestream would be incredibly easy, and most major studios are doing them. I feel like there must be something else going on.

It’s funny...I used to think they could get kinda corny last season, but now that they are gone.......(sniff)....I kinda miss ‘em.

EDIT: I didn’t mean their recent silence, which is abundantly clear and understandable. I meant all season long...wasn’t even think about the protests when I posted.

Haha! Yeah, I miss the streams, as well. Always had good info on upcoming items. My guess is that since there was Covid, basically no MLB season, as well them needing to prepare for MLBTS21 on multiple platforms, they haven’t been able to communicate as much. But the content this year has been very positive! Guess we’ll see if they give us a live stream for this year sooner rather than later...

I'm guessing it started because of Covid and now everyone is going silent in solidarity with the protests.

The reason for “radio silence” is pretty transparent on their twitter feed. I respect what they are doing.

IMO it’s one of the great things about baseball. Its connection to the social issues of the time. Be it the labor movement, civil rights, or world wars. I’ve lost my love of the NFL with how they handled kneeling.

Just wait until the alien invasions coming up next. Then you'll really hear some radio silence.

how ironic talking about going silent because of protests. A bunch of screaming babies is the opposite of silent.

Such a student of history. Such empathy. Such intelligence. What a great American. Down with the 1st Amendment. Down, I say!

Edit: Why the negativity? I just went to your post history and every post on the first page was negative aside from you asking a question about showdown matchups.

I was actually at a protest the other day and it was peaceful, the cops were there interacting with the people. The only people that were aggressive were the people that were against the protest. If wanting equality makes someone a screaming baby to you then you sure have had a privileged life.

Sorry - I didn’t mean silent RIGHT NOW...the reason for that is obvious and understandable. I meant all season: no program reveals, etc.

Yeah, the timing of this post wasn’t great.

I mean sure, I respect what they are doing too -- but maybe they could've let us know -- especially since this game is a live service.
