Biggio or Sheffield?
-
I'm trying to figure out which player would better fit my team. I got Kemp in left, Cargo in center, Jackson in right, Hanram at 3rd, Correa at short, Turner at 2nd, Stargell at 1st, and CAP at catcher
-
Biggio probably
-
Sheffield if you like your CAP. Move Hanram to SS and Correa at 2nd (or in the trash) and use Trea Turner off the bench,
-
I would say Biggio. He is much better than Turner in every way but speed and he is still pretty quick. If you really like Turner, you could move him back to his natural spot with Biggio at 2nd.
-
Sheffield is an endgame bat.
Biggio is not.Sheff is also cheaper to get
-
I’ve used both and from my personal experience Sheffield by a mile. I’m not a great hitter my any means and I’m hitting .365 with him on HOF

consider switching Kemp to RF & Reggie in LF

I went Biggio purely because I liked him more as a real life player than Sheffield. I do like Biggio in the game too. He hits right at .300 for me with close to 10 HRs. I really like him in the 2 spot.
-
Biggio, because you get trout plus Wagner & Chapman for the pen.
-
Just know Biggio is a terrible catcher. Can’t block anything. So if you pick him just know that.
-
Biggio has been better than Shef for me. Hitting about .350 with a good amount of power.
-
Sheffield >> Biggio, not really debatable

He will be one of the top 3 catchers endgame because of his speed

How are they both not endgame? They are at the top of everyone's lineup mashing

I don't do well with Sheffield so he's on my bench and I love hitting with Biggio. But Sheffield's bat is superior to Biggio's and everything is subjective anyway. To me, the swing of a player matters more than the actual attributes and also the confidence I have in the guy when he's up to bat. That's why Biggio is batting leadoff and probably will remain there and Sheffield is a PH or occasional platoon bat.

This. You won't know how you do with them until you try them. I started hot with Biggio and terrible with Sheffield. That's switched for me as I've used them more (over two months now). Sheffield has become one of my best bats and Biggio has almost no exit velocity no matter how well I square the ball up. Take the one that fits your team, and see what happens.
Side note: This is why some type of batting practice mode would be a huge improvement in this game.
