Meh is right but the henchmen are never really any good. With the exception of Larkin, no henchman was good last year.

These were the henchmen from last year.

Signature series: Dale Murphy, Dante Bichette, Matt Carpenter, Barry Larkin, Brandon Phillips, Freddie Freeman, Tony Perez, Cliff Floyd, Edwin Encarnacion, Johnny Damon, Christy Matthewson, Catfish Hunter, Cole Hamels, and Whitey Ford.

Finest series: Charlie Morton, Juan Soto, and Liam Hendricks.

I hit at least .350 with everyone except for ironically your top pick Barry Larkin (.083) and Edwin Encarnacion (.143). I also apparently never used Tony Perez.

The pitchers were also solid for me, except for Matthewson and his 5.71 ERA in 17 innings. The most surprising was Catfish since no one ever uses him year in and year out. He had 26 strikeouts in 15 innings.

Granted most of these guys were never starters on my ranked squad since I always had someone with better attributes, but every time I used them they were great.

That Carpenter was amazing. Dude just has an incredible swing that always works for me.

And that list of henchman started in (checks notes) the 6th inning. The 4th inning henchman last year were eric hosmer and two guys worse than these 3

Yup. Loved Carpenter. He went well in that ridiculously deep all Cards team I built last year.

    Edwin was awesome too

You guys have lost your mind if you were expecting good cards out of the henchmen

I think people have lost sight of why many cards are added every card is important to the overall eco system of the game and the role it plays. The Henchmen are great for events and are added to the BR and showdown pools. It's not all about end game.

Ya, I was hoping for a reliever..
And dreaming of my fav gold reliever ever!!! Last year's 84 Brett Cecil..
    I miss that card..
I think I pitched 100 innings with him last year with a 1.80 ERA. Best gold lefty RP ever

Alex wood from the show 18 would like to disagree. That guy was glitchy.

I wish they would include mission for the henchmen towards the program, for example get 10 hits online with Rookie Ted Williams for 10 points just adds more ways to get stars and promotes the use of these cards

Then I would have to use Braun. No thanks. LOL.

But it would protect their value so instead of being a 5k diamond in 48 hours its stays around 8k-7k because of the extra value.

Braun can be worth 0 stubs as that's what he deserves. The other two, no problem.

Starting to think this is less about the game and more about your clear distaste for one Ryan Braun.

I thought that I made it overtly clear, lol. It's absolutely about my disgust for that POS.

The Spendid Splinter is fine, he will get a better version. Archer is meh.

Extreme let down for this inning....they just showcasing that they really don't care one iota of giving us what we want. Likely be the least played inning ever unless that have some surprises down the line

A diamond reliever would’ve been nice though

    People still use Relievers?

I’ll happily add Ted. Loved his swing last year.

They should force everyone too... I have rarely played people though in the 400-500 range who use SPs as RPs and I am thankful for that.
