I have used him repeatedly in showdown and always meant to use him in a RS game just to see because for what ever reason his ball breaks super fast.

Yes gold card

Are you just starting out in DD? What mode do you play? Not many gold cards used in ranked seasons. Maybe events or conquest.

I suggest grinding offline for better diamonds. RS starts off easy and will harder with better competition. Gold pitchers usually get smoked by decent players. Especially on all star where the PCI is the size of the strike zone.

For feedback, i tried Mata in the prospect event and hated him. But some guys are better using certain pitchers than others. I just found his control to be awful.

I know someone else said grind for moor diamonds first, but in my opinion, just jump right in a get better cards as you go forward. Once you hit the 400s or 500s all lineups will be just about all diamonds at this point, but don't worry, there's plenty of good golds you can use. If you collect all Rangers (use orders not buy now) they have no diamonds on their team so it's an easy collection and you get a really good Michael Young card that can play 2B, 3B, SS. Great hitter, doubles power.

Enjoy the game. Understand it's a game and weird glitchy stuff will happen sometimes. If you find yourself getting mad take a step back and check yourself. Success and fun is mostly driven by attitude in this game -- enjoy!

Used him a decent amount vs CPU and he was good, but it seems like most pitchers are good vs CPU.
