He’s pretty decent to start with, but did you know that on this date in 2010, Jacob DeGrom hit his only Collegiate Homerun off of none other than Chris Sale? Pretty cool.

You're new role as a human is to invade as many threads as possible with "on this day" factoids. This is the way. I have spoken.

Sale is either going to dominate or get rocked online. A lot of people struggle so much with his delivery that they just can't pick the pitch up. But his /9's aren't that great, so people who can read him hit him hard. He has phenomenal control though, so he is one of the easier pitchers to locate with.

The problem with Sale is that apart from his change up he is all power. In real life Sale does employ a decent curveball. This game does not feature his curveball so if you can read his slider he gets rocked a lot. I use him in my rotation and have had pretty good success with him. He would be much better if he had that curveball to complement his change up and slider however.

Ya, IRL Sale throws his slider at varying speeds and movement, taking something off or adding on.. hard to replicate in game, unless you give him a slider and slurve..
