Is not caring the key to liking this game?

Just played a BR game for the first time and it was the most random, nothing makes sense experience I’ve ever had in a video game.
After the game I just sat there and thought, it doesn’t matter what I do, the game and it’s algorithm of simulation ultimately decides what’s going to happen.
At this point I just don’t care. Wins and loses are fabricated, specifically at AS or below. You can outplay someone or vice versa but the game itself has such an influence that the outcome doesn’t reflect what should have happened.
I’ll take my loses and move on but when I win even though I got outplayed I’ll just chalk it up as the game giving me the win. You have to have a I don’t care attitude when playing this game otherwise it will eat you up inside.

I wouldn't say "not caring" I do however think you shouldn't care nearly as much this year if you're going to enjoy it.
There are so many things out of your hands this year with RNG and you likely need to just accept that some games, especially in BR, you are just going to lose to a worse player. Sometimes a MUCH worse player

Yes. Don't take life too seriously, you won't get out alive.
I mean what does it do for your life if you're 100-0 in RS ranked 1300? Or go 12-0 in BR 25 times?
For those who have their financial health depend on the game, I mean you chose that path. Sucks you got stuck with this but I don't think you're forced to drive this car.

It’s a video game.
The key to enjoying any video game is to not take it seriously.

I want to compete all tbe time, but i also sot there and think of all the randomness there is in baseball and think about it as a long haul and how u have to b able to get ready for next game and turn the page

It’s just frustrating and depressing playing this game when your smacking the ball but get nothing done while your opponent gets rewarded over and over again with weaker hits than you. It goes both ways though I guess. Wins and loses are fake, purely fabricated by the game through its simulation, most notably in the levels where the majority of players play.
