Can somebody explain to me the advanced stats section ?

In the game? I don't think they have those on here. Could be wrong though.

This is easily one of the most disappointing parts of the game IMO. I'm heavy into Fantasy Baseball and baseball analytics and the stats and advanced stats sections in this game are terrible. They need new filters as well to allow more advanced type of searches.

Indeed. I cannot evaluate who is better at defence for a specific position with these advanced stats.

Unfortunately this section has been like this as far back as I can remember. I don't think SDS employs people who actually have a passion for the game.
