Please fix the AI fielding in this game. At this point its painfully obvious none of you programmers have so much as stepped on a baseball field much less played the game. As evidence I'll simply submit the fact that I hit a jammed popup over the back of the mound too low for either the SS or 2B to get to...so what happens? The pitcher sprints (over the mound - lmao) to a few feet in front of 2B and catches it on the fly?

Seriously??? Get it together. Fielding like this on the AI side happens constantly and I'm done with it to the point you can count me out for any MLB 21 purchases if I don't see some vastly improved changes.

The AI is obviously designed to keep games competitive but it shouldn't be breaking the rules of physics or the game irl to do so imo. Much less making me want to throw a controller through the screen in the process.

In the pre-release streams every year the programmers refer to their playing experience when explaining gameplay changes and also we see them playing the game in the dev tournament.

Controlling multiple AI fielders is a lot more difficult to program than it may seem.

How about when the outfielder (STILL) dives into the wall when attempting to catch a ball over the fence? No way to program a collision script that will sense when a player is close to the wall and change the animation accordingly?
