    @ColeOstamie said in Conquest Question:

I have completed all the conquest maps with the exception of the large May's map. I feel like I am spending hours simulating games, reinforcing, simulating, rinse and repeat. Is there a trick to how to gain and keep territory?

There is strategy to it. You can find videos on utube even if it is from 19 or any previous mode it is the same.

It is Time Consuming The only games I play is to take out strong holds.
First I surround My stronghold and get as many empty spots as I can

I take out COL first, then KC, TX, AZ, HOU. I build a wall from MIN down to HOU. I Leave 1 fan above what the CPU has. IF CPU has 3 I put 4 in any spot the cpu can attack me from. Then I take out the west side of the Map first.

After I take out The West side I usually take out MIN next and work my way down or across the top. MIN, DET, TOR, NYY BOS then Go down from there. Hope this helps. I am on my 4th or 5th time doing this Map.

Other players got up and to the West. Go after COL SEA and work your way down to SF, OAK, LAD, LAA, SD, AZ and then continue EAST.

Thank you. I seriously just need to set a timer because I feel like I get nothing done in the time I play.

    Welcome,

Try to avoid the A’s having a stronghold/many because the more games you’ll have to play in that disgusting park the better it will be. I restarted a USA map because the A’s had the entire west besides Colorado

Honestly if you steal fans just twice in the beginning to get up to ~11 fans. you can sim reinforce and take strongholds over and over again very quickly. Can beat the entire conquest map in <6 hours that way

That timeline seems unreasonable. If you steal fans twice, you’ll need to play a minimum of 32 games. If you are going to do it in under 6 hours, that means you have to complete each game in 11 minutes. And that doesn’t even count the time spent simming, reinforcing, etc. I think 10 hours is a much more reasonable timeline.

you're probably right. Feels like when i've done it I play for an hour a night for a week and im done, so probably 10-12 hours is more accurate.

It's all about getting territories. Every 3 territories gets you 1 reinforcement. I usually don't even attack other strongholds until turn 5 or 6. It's a little annoying in the beginning when all those cpu turns are happening but it gets better.

I don't waste time stealing fans unless there's a mission for it. Also, when you 1st take over a stronghold that may have a large influence, only attack around there further if there are threats to attack. I just conquered Colorado who had a bunch of 3/4s around the perimeter, but far enough from the stronghold that I just let them be so they can duke it out with the other cpu teams while I shore up my territories.

I've played that map around 8x now (and finally pulled a diamond Sunday - Trout too!). It's a fun way for me to kill time when having a few drinks, etc

It takes a long time and is not worth it. However if you can beat the cpu on all star taking strongholds as you go along is way faster.

I found this year that the CPU will rarely attack you if you are within 1 fan of them either way...so if they have 4 they will almost never attack you if you have 3, at least in my experience

Maybe you might know since you are well known in the forums...if you beat the map once do you no longer get the hidden rewards if you replay it?

Replaying the map will not give you any extra rewards. The only exception is to re-do the USA map any take every territory. That will give you the bundle of packs....but that's it.

correct. no more mid-quest hidden rewards after you conquer a map.

At minimum you have to play 30 games. 10 to 15 minutes a game. So at minimum you are looking at 5 hours, which isnt possible with the map movements, so it isnt something that can be done quickly. But like others haveside, YouTube video it. Work your way west get to Seattle and work down then east. Works every time with 0 chance of failure. If you play more games and steal it's even easier. I can get it done in around 20 turns never playing above Veteran.
