We need to be able to challenge
-
I think that, like Madden, you should be able to challenge. In Madden, you can challenge after any play. I think that, other than balls and strikes, you should be abe to challenge, like in the real game. There are a bunch of calls that I think are wrong, and would LOVE to challenge in DD. Thoughts? Is there anything else SDS should add, and maybe learn from other games?
-
yah, I don't understand why challenges are in franchise and MTO but not in DD. Just put it like real life, you start with 1 challenge, you get it right you can challenge again.

I miss being able to challenge, i think you used to be able to do so either in 17 or 18

They used to have challenges in online head to head but they were implemented poorly and only wasted everybody’s time.
Usually challenges occurred when the umpire blew an obvious call at first base, causing a player to pause the game and challenge the call. Then both players were forced to sit through several cutscenes of the umps and the manager standing around, along with several replays of the atrociously bad call, before it finally got overturned and the game could resume. It got old really, really fast.

Maybe they could shorten it. Does SDS even see these threads?

They do. Maybe it’s something on the to do list for next year.

Why have a challenge? It makes no sense for DD when umps are set to perfect for DD

Are they though? I have seen a few bad calls that if I was playing the CPU I would of looked at the replay

They are coded to be perfect so even if it looks wrong on your screen, what can you successfully challenge?
-
So then, maybe they need to set it to regular, and have challenges.
-
No, just a waste a time to have challanges! It's a computer program, they should just fix the game so that there are never wrong calls!

It makes it more real!

The umpire appeal of a check swing is a "real" feature that I could do without! I could see challenges becoming equally annoying.

Whenever this happens, it's latency related.

Okay, I just had a game where I somehow got Larkin out at first when he was pretty clearly safe but it could be my TV settings

Most likely the latency, where the servers have already registered the ball in the glove of the 1st baseman but that info is delayed in your screen giving you the optical illusion that he actually might have been safe.

No problem. For this same reason it's harder for people who have latency related issues to catch up to high velo fastballs; in their screen the baseball is not in the "swing window" yet but in real time and according to the servers the ball is already going through the strike zone. Which will result in a late/too late swing every single time.

Monitor or nice TV with game mode + Fast and strong connection, Ethernet if possible.
