After seeing a lot of people comment and post and playing the game a lot myself I’ve come to the conclusion that at this point in the game the hitting engine has to be mostly RNG(random number generator, which basically means everytime you hit the ball it is random whether it is good/good or good/okay, not based on user skill) and this really does seem to be the case. I’m not complaining so much as I’m just asking the devs to make the game more user control based. If I hit the ball completley in the pci with good timing give me a good good base hit. If I miss the pci. Give me a slow dribbler or slow fly out. Just make it user based and give us control of the outcome

An elite swinger vs. a clueless whiffer will probably end up .100 apart. It's asinine. Skill matters a little, but random outcomes are the true master.

Yeah I try to be as positive as possible but really it’s undeniable. I’m getting so many perfect perfect liner outs with the best cards in the game. If I hit a ball dead center with Mantle, with perfect timing that ball should be destroyed, not directly hit to an OF or the SS.

Also swings that are nearly perfect perfect , the good / squared up and good/good. Where the ball is center cut, or at least completely inside the pci center circle. Then with good timing on top, these hits should never be lazy pop flys or weak grounders with great cards. Maybe a pitcher but not Gary Sheffield or mantle or even guys like didi. Unless you get a perfect perfect flyball it’s compete rng, what does the dice roll decide that my reward is. It’s basically like opening packs. Occasionally there’s a diamond or gold but mostly just bronze and commons.

What just floors me is hitting HR's when the baseball isn't even inside the PCI. Like...why?

I've been chatting with a lot of folks elsewhere about this. I sincerely believe that the minor league parks have a lot to do with it.

I play exclusively in MLB and Classic stadiums and these instances are infrequent on both sides of the ball. When I'm away at ShitPit, Capital Field etc, the nonsense ensues.

Play at Oracle or PNC. You won't see this as often.

I wouldn't say RNG based although it does influence. But i feel pitcher confidence influences outcomes too much and I think people confuse that with RNG sometimes.

Agreed, I have good swings that went over the fence and good swings that pop up to catcher. There is zero user skill that determines that. One of the many things I despise about the game. In fact how do you turn off the hitter feedback, it's garbage

If you took the survey you can see it is. It asked whether things happened too often or too little more than anything. Meaning it’s just a percentage of outcomes that get tweaked.

    I mean... a .300 hitter is an all-star.
    A .200 hitter... hopefully he’s a pitcher.

    Makes sense to me.
