0-2 so far. Lost 2-1 and 5-0. Seems everything my opponent hits is a hr or a gapper, everything I hit hard is right at someone.

3-1 so far, really enjoying it but I am going to take a break and finish grinding towards brujan.

I only played a little last night but I felt like this was the first fighting chance I've had so far!
Part of that is my opponents not having full FOTF rosters but this event seems to be drawing in a more diverse crowd.

I figure I can grind out 25-40 wins for the cards, and I've set a goal of 5 wins a day, but i may have to redefine the word 'fun' while I'm doing it. It's actually not so bad, but yeah, if you want that free win, just match up with me, lol.

Omg yes. Thankfully I rebounded a bit but I’m all sorts of messed up. Vlad taking 3 steps in before heading back on a ball way over his head or Bell running to cover first on a ball right to him haven’t helped.

You have really good, wired internet? If you have unlimited data, try your mobile hot spot. What have you got to lose? Go 0-2 again? Curious if this helps anyone else out. Now, it doesn't work all the time. I still have games with those same issues as wired fiber, their just not almost every single game.

Just lost a game 11-0, every ground ball finds a hole, every fly ball is in the gap, every strike is hit hard.
I get up, good squared straight to the right fielder, perfect grounder straight to 2nd.
Don't know what to do, game is still unplayable, just for a different reason.

I am not running the standard 5 sp and it helps. People seemed really tuned in to Glavine, Roberts, et al.

What I hate most about every event is that every game you play is against a dude with that world series banner. It makes no sense that better matchmaking isnt used

my secret is to immediately quit when i get down. instant win for my opponent, instant restart for me. plus, 40 wins in 8 days is super doable even for someone like me. my five wins have been:
1-0
1-0
2-0 (opponent disconnect)
Opponent quit after messaging for and receiving his 5 XBH for Cardinals players
6-1I don't mind just turning my brain off for a few hours. Plus, I'm an essential state employee working in employment services so anything that gets my mind off the literal christian hell i'm inhabiting currently is fine with me.

In a different thread someone theorized that you get matched up based on where you are in your run like in BR. If your 0-0 or 2-0 into a new run, you'll get matched with someone that's the same. Yes, it sucks going against WS players if that isn't your normal range, but it seems to be the formula used for matchmaking.

Yup, increasing the pci size made the shitty pitching even shittier now. There are soooo many bad hits it is astounding, the input vs reward just isn't there right now

Are you going to try my suggestion or is it that you can't? I deal with the same stuff you just described and a lot more on wired fiber probably around 50-75% of games. It is lower on mobile hot spot but still happens so this likely won't help all the time but does provide me with some relief. Last event I lost 5-6 games like this. Switched over and won 6 games on hot spot. I was outmanned in every game regardless because I only had 2 diamond position players and got those later.
I haven't bothered stating all the things that go wrong in these games but I could try.
Baserunners are slow to react
When stealing the jump is horrible even with 99 steal.
Opponent gets hits on basically every good and not so good swing
My good/good+ are out a lot
Opponent pitchers easily hit corners
My pitcher either throws a ball or right down the middle
Opponent never makes errors or misses balls
I make errors way more in the games where all these are prevalent
Feels like I am throwing slow pitch softball with people turning on 100
I have trouble turning on 93
If I get the tired sign on a pitcher it is almost a guarantee the batter is getting a hit. That tired sign has come up on the 2nd batter with a relief pitcher often. -

You may actually have great internet. As I have said before the mbps doesn't really matter. MBPS is how much traffic your network can handle. Think of 10 up/10 down mbps as a one lane country road and a gig as a 6 lane super highway. The 6 lane super highway can handle a lot more traffic. Ping, packet loss and jitter play a significant role in online gaming. For instance, if you are losing packets that information is not getting where it needs to go.
Ping is how fast your information gets to the servers and back. Distance from server, network traffic, routing protocols, etc all effect ping. Therefore, just because you have 60 mbps doesn't mean you have bad ping. I suspect you probably have good ping if you are experiencing these issues.
It is why on several posts I have described why ping is important. America's Army when I was pinging around 60, I would get instantly melted and felt like I was shooting sponges. A few times I had 160 was just the opposite. I felt like Terminator. Same reason why Battlefield was having issues with OOR (out of region) players coming into servers with their high ping and wrecking everyone. COD went to ping based match making this year because they finally realized it was an unfair playing field. I suck at COD. I haven't played it much but all my deaths have seemed fair. Can't say the same for matches in this game. It is not a level playing field.

I had good success last night , one lose fame because of lag I quit out. Felt like I was pitching in sand. Two othe loses came to good players. I went 7-3
