It was a homerun fest, now it is even more of a homer in fest. I played a game that I won 11-7 and all runs were scored via homeruns. Not one single to score the runner from third or a sac fly. Baseball isn’t like this, but if 5his makes y’all happy so be it

Nice work SDS. Hitting is much improved online. Still too much Okay contact inside the PCI. That needs to be fixed next IMO.

I just faced Kluber in a Diamond Dynasty All-Star game & was ahead 4-0 in the 5th before the other guy quit. Safe to say that never would have happened before the patch so I have to give SDS credit.

No change in hitting in showdowns. I'm 0-4 in the NL Central tonight. I appreciate that they responded, but They didn't fix anything in showdown.

Home run cameras weren’t added this year, they’ve been around for a long time... They took away the choice to turn them off years ago, and not sure why...

He's referring to pressing L2 after hitting one in online play.

Lost one game 13-2, he couldn't stop hitting home runs. Hopefully just a one off, coz that won't make for a very fun game anymore

Yes, hitting is waaay better now. 1st game I played in RS tonight, I had 4 doubles, 1 triple, 1 hr in a 5-2 win. 2nd game I played I lost 5-1 vs Kluber, but put a tonne of balls in play..
We have to remember that this videogame has to be fun. That’s the whole point - to have fun. Even when I won w the last patch, it wasn’t a fun experience. SDS Let’s keep it this way. Thx!

That’s fine, I gave up nine runs in the 8th to lose my last game by four. I couldn’t pitch anywhere that wasn’t yanked out for a homer. I think this patch will be a major boost for directional hitters.

Not sure if anyone has replied, but it's because they changed the timing window, so essentially imo yes, if you had hitting timing "perfected", you're now back a step.

The timing window was the biggest issue I faced in the game. It seems a lot better now, not perfect, but much better.

No I’m referring to the homerun no doubt camera. I actually love the L2 replay feature

SDS please remove batting feedback in game. Save yourselves some headaches. Leave the cool sounds though.
Patch seems to have improved hitting. I need to play more though to be certain.

I didn't see a change in urgency played last night and guy got a double because Bellinger took his time to a routine base hit and then his 99 AS was more like 58 AS because he just lobbed it in. Hitting felt better still got some good okay but it was only decent PCI placement. The one's that were good or better placement actually got better results. I've had good okay with dead center PCI before patch in my 2 games all dead center PCI were either Good/Good, Good/Squared, or Perfect/Perfect.

I firstly want to thank SDS for this patch and the ongoing effort to improve game play. I've been a regular offline player since Show 15, I'm not a great hitter and will never be ha.
I do not enjoy massive difficulty in games. I appreciate this patch and new content given these uncertain times. Please make the showdown mode and moments user friendly and not too difficult. I find way too many good/okay, good/squared up, perfect/perfect contact to be outs during showdown and moments. These modes are already very difficult and challenging for a majority of us, it is completely demoralizing and frustrating to make outs on perfect/perfect and good/okay contact on those modes. During online PVP I completely understand. However, please make the showdown and moments to be user friendly, rewarding, non difficult modes to play.
I appreciate all your hard work SDS, keep up the good work.

I don't see a single improvement! Groove fastball 94 mph, good swing timing on a prolific hitter - result - pop up to the catcher. Runner on first, one out, another grooved fastball. Good timing, good hitter. Result - the ubiquitous double-play. Hitting still sucks. Game is designed to cheat.

The game was so competitive. There was a real skill gap. You couldn’t just foul everything off. Better players were winning games. Now HOF feels like all star.
