First game after patch...

This guy jbob is delusional. Irl players are strong enough to pull outside pitches for hrs. It happens a lot you just don't have good awareness of a strikezone
-
If you want someone to tell you what you wanna hear then go see a shrink.
-
Ah yes, I too always make broad statements based off a completely insufficient sample size.

every team is full of power hitters of course there's going to be homeruns. you want base hits pick up gwynn alomar....... etc.
Again, its not about the power hitters, of course they are going to hit HRs. Its about the locations they are hitting HRs from, doesnt happen in real life they way it happens in the game. My above post outlines it perfectly.
Gibsons HR off Eckersley in the 88 World Series was exactly as you described. Slider away, and he is on his front foot, rolls his wrist over on a one handed finish, and hit it out to right.
That wasnt a lefty lefty situation and a perfectly placed slider in the bottom right square (pitchers view). I was pitching with Lodolo who hasnt given up a HR in any game I have used him in so far (10 or so games). He gave up 4 in this game.
Eck's slider leaked toward the middle of the plate, not remotely similar to what happened in my game. Besdies, that Gibson HR is a the one in a million exception to the rule. In MLB Jam, this is the rule instead of the exception.
This stuff happened before today’s patch. Half of the homeruns I give up we’re on low away pitches below the zone that are pulled 450.... it is dumb but this patch didn’t make it like this. Hell I gave up a down and in sinker below the zone to a righty and it went 450

Second RS Game today was fun being down 7-2 after 6 and winning 8-7 in the Bottom of the 9th with a fly ball against the LF Wall and Marsh not knowing where the ball is. That scored my winning run from 1st.
But Fielding is fine lol...
Btw.
Hit a No Doubt HR with FOTF Buxton with Contact Swing and a Oppo Taco HR with 99 Posey also with Contact Swing.
I think there a still flaws... -

AS, however irrelevant.
You got that right about the irrelevance of difficulty level. It's just about as immaterial as any consistency in the game...which is completely void and absent thereof.

You must not watch baseball. It's actually extremely accurate that in this one case, most runs came by the homer. That has never been more realistic than now in today's game.
You need to brush up on your statistics before firing off nonsense like that. That number has historically been around 30%. Today, you are correct, homeruns are prolific. But even so, that number has only floated up to around 40%. That, for sure, isn't most.

And, that happened once that I know of. Name a couple other examples of that one? I'm sure it "might" have happened other times, but I don't recall it. You?
It's just one of the very many insanely rare anomalies that rarely, if ever, happen in the real MLB that happen in MLB the hit Show quite often.

Marlins park so you can picture it:
17 hits combined
8 runs combined
7 of those runs on HRs
Cargo pulls a low and away slider into the right center upper deck (how realistic)
Ball still hangs in the air too long, Yelich ran down at least 5 gap shots he had no business getting to
But that is because they have the fielder speed slider up. I ran down a foul ball halfway down the line with 55 speed Nolan Gorman, from the SS position cause he was in the shift. Thats about a 3 second 40 speed.
This game is done, stick a fork in it. They will never get it right.Bye Felicia...go cry in the corner

I don’t think the way the box score reads is very important. Worrying about that is what creates all the problems IMO. This is a video game. How does it play?
I agree. Its people that want a sim style game in a fantasy mode that is the problem and why hitting was changed at 1.04 in the first place
I would play franchise if they could make the AI remotely human, but they cant.
That is its own problem though. I think sim style games should be reserved for franchise. Them fixing Franchise would honestly help DD way more than anyone thinks because people that want sim can have their own mode and people that want user input to matter have DD. Franchise being overlooked for the past 5 years is a lot of the reason DD plays bad IMO
User input should matter no matter what mode you play I believe. You just need to have realistic outcomes. more often than not if, as a left handed batter, you swing early on a slider low and away (truly low and away, not middle low) you are going to roll it over for a ground out, good or late timing gives you a better chance at getting on base with that particular pitch. You definitely arent going to pull it 450 feet into the upper deck.
If I smoke a 100mph shot to the gap, it should actually make it to the gap, it shouldnt float in the air for 6 seconds allowing a fielder to run under it. Compounded now by that its floating and the fielders have been given more speed to get to balls to counteract the animations not locking in. As I stated in my previous post. 55 speed Nolan Gorman shouldnt be running down foul balls halfway up the line from this shift position of SS.
Let me guess...you use Joey Gallo...if you want to go realistic then he should strikeout 99% of the time with his 23 vision stat. Oh and if you want realism I hope you like .200 batting average for all your players

When did they do the super secret outfield speed slider update?
Give it a rest dude, you think people that play this game daily cant tell that they are now camped out under fly balls when they previously were catching them on the run? Are you and SDS employee/relative or something?
And everyone take a shot...he accused someone who being an SDS employee for daring to disagree with him

Obviously most runs don't come via the homer, even though it's almost half... But in any game, most if not all can, like in his instance...

This game is done, stick a fork in it. They will never get it right. If this said 30 hits or something I’d understand. These numbers don’t really seem elevated at all. That’s honestly a
minimum that I’d wanna see for fun. This is a video game. More runs that that were being scored pre-patch for many games. -
patch didn't change gameplay to make me more better. I want to be more better. Make me more better! SDS is more worse! patch is more worse.
-
Connections still suck @$$. Can I play someone that actually pays for their internet?
-
Lol @ clowns that equate situations and gameplay in this , a video game that relies on coding, rng and user inputs to a real life sport. Some of you have to be sds employees. That’s the only logical explanation

OK, now I may be dense (probably am) but how in the world can you take what this guy said out of context and state something like "In this one instance". His implication was it's a common anomaly in MLB the hit Show.
And, further, if someone ever took the time out to tally the homerun-to-run ration in this squirrelly game I'll wager it's in the 75-85% range. At least in RS.

Ha..Sure..whatever.
But, the fact do remain...homeruns are hit in this game at a pace so far out of the realm of MLB possibility that it stimulates hateful posts and silly replies like yours followed by further snide remarks by yourself.
I would love to be writing posts praising and loving this game. Just can't. It doesn't stimulate that type of reaction, only the regret of lost time given to a game that disappoints with it's nonsensical AI interference.

Im no Dev of the game, and I have my suggested tweaks, but come on man, at some point you have to be ok with it. Every small adjustment one way or another upsets people as much as every slight rule change in real life upsets 50% of the fans. It is what it is. Its so hard to compare this to real life. Sh*t happens in real life too. Bad games happen. Worse teams win sometimes. [censored] pitchers get CGSO's. Also what doesn't happen in real life: All star God teams where everyone in the lineup is a HOF power hitter... if there were a team like that... i would suspect that team would be launching HR's worse than this game does. Not against making suggestions, but I am starting to feel for these dev's that just cant win. there is no way to satisfy everyone.
