Starting a Session - Routine(s)?
-
Over the past few months, I've noticed that my hitting in particular is much better after about 30 minutes of playing than it was when I first powered up my PS4 and entered the game. This is still the case even after playing hundreds of hours over the years.
To address the issue, I've taken to having something of a routine, at least when I remember to do so, and particularly if I'm going to be playing online in the near future.
- Weekly Challenge - great for honing accurate pitch identification
- A Moment or two
- A Conquest game or two
I don't keep to the above with any kind of fastidiousness, but when it occurs to me that I don't see the ball for the first 20-30 minutes as I will after having immersed in playing some, I do a few of the above before playing more difficult modes, particularly online play.
I'm curious if anyone else reading this has any sort of routine they use when starting a session, even if it's only a once in a while / when I remember sort of thing.

It is in ur head cause pitcher pitch softball in middle of the plate. The reward is just random.

I like to play conquest to warm just for the pure fact of making progress on the map. Everytime you complete the map you get a free 10 packs so it's worth it to me.

I used to do COTW to warm up hitting before ranked games.
I’ve found it’s not as useful these days because, even though it goes up to HOF and Legend difficulty (if you get that far) the pitch speed still doesn’t compare.

I just do some stretches and stare into a candle with each eye for 15 minutes.

Scroll back and forth through the DD menu for a couple of Hours
