I think he's just tired of facing sinkers 😛

I was kind of annoyed until I saw the Griffey card, pretty underwhelming.

The Dustin May though, does he actually throw a sinker? It just seems pretty odd that almost every one of these future star pitchers have sinkers.

Most young pitchers are being taught the sinker because of its effectiveness. So if you think about it, it’s not very odd

Actually it really depends on the pitcher. I wouldn’t teach a pitcher with a high spin/high spin efficiency 4s fastball a sinker. It’s counterproductive.

Sinkers were a huge thing during the steroid era and after, but hitters have adjusted to them and now the high 4s fastball is the fad. They generate more swings and misses.

The fact that the 3 highest overall cards on the market are future stars at this point is ridiculous.

Can we please move on from unproven players now?

Why in the F is there a 97 Dustin May card...
It's so uneven.. Gore, Mize, Luzardo and Pearson are all better pitching prospects and have 90 rated cards at best

What was the point of the prospect series?? It feels so half baked, like they pivoted after the fact and completely messed up the balance of everything..

Content this year is a total F so far for me, not in quantity but in half baked ideas and a terrible roll out of these bad ideas

Just here to face-palm at all the whining....please continue....

I’m not whining whatsoever lol. I will use Griffey when his 99 is available. But i’m stating that his 95 wouldn’t make my squad.

Wasn't intended for you. Your post was very reasonable. The comments section will take care of itself 😉

Oh yes we’ll in that case I agree. People complain about these future stars cards too much cause they’re bad at the game

People complain because these cards are bs. At 97 he is already being called one of the best, and he ain't done jack. Total slap in the face to those who came before.

I think May belongs in that group that you named as better pitching prospects than him. Different lists have them in different orders.

I 100% agree with your point though. SDS [censored] this up by giving all the top prospects 85-90 rated cards, then giving a bunch of lower tier prospects 93-95 rated cards. Makes no sense.

The gold prospects in the TA probably should have been silver cards, the future stars should have been golds, the original set of prospects should have been the first TA cards, while the fotf should have been 90-93 TA stage 2 cards.

Generally speaking, I know there's a few that can move around a bit.

I'm surprised he doesnt throw 108mph... or maybe he will. Just make a Sidd Finch card as that's what it appears they want to do anyway.

Future star who’s barely sniffed the league and top 5 player of all time released in the same day, guess who has a higher rating?

Agree 💯% I still can’t believe that people actually complained about all the free 99’s SDS we’re handing out last year. Now we get stuck with lower 90 ish overall ratings. have to wait until the end of the game cycle to get those 99’s SAD! Last things I’ll say is contact hitters feels almost useless this year compared to last year. In 19 contact guys were great, a lot of fun to use. It’s disappointing because this game has so much potential. Been buying the show since 06’ and this has been the most frustrating one to play by far...

Dustin May 97 what a joke... There's like 1 chance on 100000 that this guy someday has a 97 rated live series card. The furure stars cards are funny but they need to stay realistic. It's a shame that the best card on the market is a speculation on future...

How much you want to bet that the new best pitcher in the game will still throw meatballs for tanks.

There is 0% chance that his live series card will be a 97. I mean one of the greatest players of all times who is in his prime is rated 95 ovr. They just like to nerf the ratings on the live series cards since the show 18.
