Best version of this game?

What year do you guys think has been the best version so far for this game?

19 was pretty good

MLB 16 was probably the pinnacle for me. Pitching was probably the most user input based of any game. Hitting felt very rewarding and bunt cheese was probably the biggest issue. I don't remember all the fielding issues we saw at launch last year or that we are seeing this year. MLB 17 wasn't terrible, but after the launch that saw every one and their mother hitting tons of HR, they patched hitting to the late is great. Users were still rewarded for good input more than not and pitching still felt much better. After that the game started going downhill IMO.
MLB 18 was the year of the change up and HR or bust mentality. Contact hitters were useless. We all know about the issues with last years game. I will say that I've stayed away from online more than I'd like to this year though because of all the issues I've read and seen in the little I have played. I've only played about 30 RS games and pitching is horrendous. Hitting feels very spotty too and let's not even start on fielding. The only saving grace to this years game is all of the content you can do offline IF you don't play the game so much that you burn through it.
That's just MHO. -
17 was my favorite from this console generation.

17... But the menus were horrendously slow.

MLB 16 was the best for user input. Hitting and Pitching were at their pinnacle. Worst part of this game was the bunt cheese during online games. Everything started to change when they introduced "ball physics" in 17. I still liked 17 and when you compare it to 18,19 & 20 I'd take 17 over them. Still think 16 was the best of the bunch.
