Skip the showcases to get drafted by a better team that doesn't need you.

I have played RTTS since 2009 and have found that in the last 3 years this mode has totally gone down the toilet. That is why when the new consoles come out I am not buying and this is my last year with this game. I am not going to pay $60 to $100 for this garbage

Good idea about the salary being converted to stubs, but I can’t agree with the DD tie in, at least not in the same way MTO is tied to it. Quite simply, it would destroy RTTS if its rewards in any way gave people an advantage against others, be it by grinding or other. Because then the mode would be interfered with to prevent those rewards being easy to get.

MTO would be way better for those who find the core idea of the mode most appealing if its gameplay wasn’t subjected to ‘outcomes of a predetermined nature’. Same could be said for Moments and Showdowns based on what I’ve read here. It’s because all three modes (and Conquest) are rewards-based and those rewards aren’t supposed to be easy to get.

Personally I like the idea of the game being more holistic (back in January I wrote an unfinished symphony... er... blog on the idea and how it could work). But if that means compromising Franchise and RTTS like the clearly compromised gameplay in MTO, Moments, Showdown and Conquest then Franchise and RTTS should be left well clear of any DD-type rewards.

These are my thoughts.

Here's tip for draft. Skip ALL the Showcases. Just quit or simulate. You get drafted in the 26th round by a much better team. I got drafted by the Brewers, Braves, and Rangers by doing this.

I’d say the last three years of RTTS you can get called up in first year if you’re doing well in AA. Last year i was up before the alistar break with Orioles and starting.

This year I played first half in AA and than for about two weeks was in AAA, than was up on major league club (Pirates) doing pinch hits. Won starting job in spring training though. I think the mode is fine. The League leader stats for AI players seem to skyrocket if your player is hitting well tho

Would say if i decide to goto college after the showcases it should ask me if id like to join a particular team each time not go right into draft

That one was kind of unfair. NOLA's my backyard. so I knew that one off the top of my head.

No.its never a good idea to add baserunners in close games.
Listen to the commentary though, they mention it on every extra base hit, and a bunch more situations that make no sense.
walk a guy to load bases with less 2 outs to set a 2BP or force at home- 50/50, put a runner in scoring position to set up a double play possibility- almost never.
If they walked just half of the batters that commentary talks about pitch around/ibb, or the times it pops up as a manager "hint", there would be 15 walks per game if not more.

I had a challenge of get on base after first pitch. The reward was +dis. So I understand the challenge to mean to take first pitch. I do that and it is a strike on the inside half and I get a -vis. The -vis would have been a small amount lost, however the +dis would have been a bigger gain if achieved.

I agree with you though, it could have been better implemented.

Sadly no because people whine and cry because they arent in the majors super fast so there is no way that I have found to slow down the process.

I don't believe you can create rival players vs your RTTS player. What would be the purpose of doing so? What you are saying defies logic.

Only thing that needs to be fixed is that his rookie card can’t be listed for more than 7.5k

If you do it, dont do it on some scrub difficulty. Legend or hall of fame. I have looked into the guys that do it on you tube and it's a joke how people play rtts on anything below HOF. It's just way too easy

That is your opinion but like noses everyone has one. I play RTTS because I don't want to get involved playing with anyone else. I can have it difficult or easy. Some people like me are older with slower response that play at lower levels. Too bad not everyone is a crack all time top notch expert like you.

Think you misunderstood what I meant. I'm talking about youtubers. I dont care what difficulty people play on but when youtubers boast abs brag about smashing hitting records and never swing and miss because it's too easy, it looks bad on the person playing to a bunch of people

That is true they probably play rookie level with all the sliders in their favor. I play for the enjoyment so I don't utube or anything. No need to brag as far as I am cocerned. My response before was because I constantly see posts where guys bash others like they were experts. I am sorry I miundrestood you.

All good, I just wish when people make videos for youtube, they didn't do things on easy levels and talk about how good they are. It's just fake to me

This is happening to me, but the opposite. I’m the best hitter on the team, 3rd in every lineup, but I’ll start a game and instead of starting from the beginning, it leaves me out of the lineup and asks if I want to play or simulate to next appearance.

If I play, it subs me for the 1B, which isn’t my usual position. If I simulate, it will pretty much leave me out of every game.

Feels like a bug.
