you have to progress your player through the loadout system

Mine worked a little while but then all stopped updating. Might have been after the Xbox got a patch about day 2 of early release.

Thank you GrizzBear55. So i have to pitch a couple games with the fast ball and change up and at some point i will progress to where i can train and when i train i can modify what pitches i have?

50 is all you can do. The load outs are how you get better stats

im wondering the same thing about the 4th and 5th pitches. I've played about 10 games in the MLB and still no option.

I do know that you are able to change back to your 4 seamer in the training menu but you will have to wait until that option is available again. I switched my 4 seamer to a sinker but had to wait until "Change pitch type 1" said 4 seam fastball

It makes rtts extremely frustrating and practically unplayable. It’s hard to enjoy the storyline when I’m getting shelled or having games where I’m going 0-4 or 1-4 because the game isn’t registering stuff or bugging out.

When you are in Ballplayer and you change loadout to the right there is a activate loadout, i think that is part of process still toying around with it though.

Technically, you keep them until they shut the DD servers off (typically after 4 years or so.)

It's to differentiate from FIFA, 2K and the like that use contracts.

Oh I see. So it is not bringing them over to 22, you just get to play with them on 21 until the server is shut down. That makes sense.

I have the same problem. Thank God for auto save cuz I dashboard before every pitching appearance so I can change my load outs. If I don’t, I throw 85-88 instead of 95-99...

Ahh yes. Because switching your loadout and going from a power hitter one game to a speed burner the next, is super [censored] realistic.

Pretty sure the loadout is more to switch from hitting perks to pitching perks if you do the 2-way player and even then it's still more realistic than the 200HR a year guy.

Lets be real here, no one is gonna sacrifice their power loadout to have their guy play better in the field or steal bases.

I think most people just come on here to share their experiences to see if it is a widespread issue or what. If it is widespread you can just wait patiently for the fix, if it is isolated best to send in a bug report. Especially in the first couple weeks after release. I dont think it is crying. People play video games for fun. And if what you find fun is diamond dynasty that’s great... But to obliterate core game modes that are part of the identity of your franchise in favour of that is utterly ridiculous, particularly when the development costs that go towards developing it are negligible. I mean, I played a career continuously from 14’ to 18’. Almost all of the changes to RTTS were the same improvements to gameplay that were implemented across the rest of the modes.

Yes, SDS is a company, they absolutely have the right to try and seek to profit from their product as much as possible... Doesn’t mean those who buy the product shouldn’t be equally entitled to call them out on their decisions.

What fundamental features are you referring to that they ditched? Y2Y saves? Sounds of the show? Both of those features were gone when it went from ps3 to ps4 and there is nothing to say it isn't coming back.

The difference between "fake career mode" and "Fictional book team" as a gamer you know how fast ESports is growing right? Well people who put money into game to compete sometimes for 10's of thousands of dollars there is no way for you or me to make money off of "Career mode." So if those people lost money that is a no brainer they should be dealt with first.

As far as RTTS goes the progression or lack thereof is an obvious bug. And i would imagine there is a team working on it as we speak. And we will get an update as soon as they resolve it. But as far as the core of RTTS the mode plays great aside from obvious no progression. I do not see it going towards microtransaction in RTTS for the simple fact that the some of the tasks are repeatable.

And i have said this in other places too, all the changes they have made they refer to it being a foundation of what they want to do in future. Take Ballplayer for instance, why do you think they set it up for multiple loadouts with so many architypes with secondaries? I think it has to do with future COOP w/ friends. And also if it was about micro transactions wouldn't they have flooded us with architypes for every position and not have so many secondaries?

That’s certainly not how it is in baseball but it’s a video game so if we want to be a 3B they’re gonna chuck in plays that are redonkulous just so we get some action at 3B. From the sounds of it you’re probably familiar with what happens as an RTTS catcher then.
