Hitting Mechanics Working Properly?

Help me figure this out ...
My RTTS player has 90+ ratings in power, contact and vision (with equipment boosts) and I often have good swing timing, but I swing right through the pitch or make weak contact. I'm hitting .227 thru mid-June and I've had MAYBE one perfect-perfect swing all year.
Are the Baseball Overlords trying to keep me humble?
I tried shifting down from All-Star to Veteran difficulty, and the problem got worse.

I have the exact same problem! It is frustrating the hell out of me, making me undesicive to swing or not... Then I start swinging at bad pitches just for the reason im looking for a pitch I maybe can hit better... same stats too, power and contact in the 90s, vision as well... equipment most diamond, my ballplayer has diamond overall... commentators in the game always bragging how good a hitter I am... but my grandmother can hit balls with more contact then my guy... please a explanation devs!!!

Mines the exact same when I get really good contact and timing it’s just a [censored] hit. But if I swing for the hell of it on a [censored] pitch and get really early timing it’ll be deep between between the outfielders. No idea what it wants me to do it really just seems like it just rolls a dice or something to decide if you hit or not.

It pains me that none of the devs wanna explain this... something feels janky compared to the show 20... I think this game has many bugs in it... somethings off.
