I've come to this conclusion as well. Somehow the big PCI is a net negative unless you use cards with next to no vision.

so i just bought him day he was released (i have no desire to play this event). so far i'm hitting above .500 and have hit a homer 4 homers. 2 of which were in the same game. i like him so far. Not a sox fan but always respected Paulie

Exactly. I just got into Diamond Dynasty with this year's game and those videos helped me out a lot. I probably never would have attempted finishing the line series collection for Mays if not for his info.

This is honestly one of the best videos I've seen on MLB 19. It's something I try to practice a lot, and sometimes I'm successful, but I do get "tilted' on occasion. Whether the game screwed me or not, that mindset means I'm telling myself I don't need to improve. That's an easy mindset to have, a hard one to shake.

This is the worst defensive and pitching gameplay I've experienced, lately. I won a game earlier because a center fielder dropped a routine fly ball he was right under, and then I ripped a liner at his right fielder and he ran past it and I ended up walking it off. Felt so bad for the guy. And I won't even get started on my losses.

I replied to a similar post sometime ago I do agree that there should be an option for offline players to accumulate stars without having to participate in events, ranked seasons, and battle royale nonsense. A few years ago you had to play online games to be able to get the 99 overall Ken Griffey jr which seemed like an impossible feat.

Tbh I actually feel that I hit pitches on the edges of the zone better because I can just mash the pci to the edge and there's no risk of overcompensation. When I'm feeling good I force people to come into the zone but I actually miss quite a few pitches over the plate because of overcompensation

This is very true. This is also why back when pitching was more responsive CB5 was telling people to pitch in between the corners and the middle as you need a lot of control to hit those pitches.

@Some_Schmuck_22 is right on when he recommend Rays TA Zobrist. switch hitter, decent d, and shocking power, especially from the LH side. He can be super utility once you get SS Alomar as well.

I still play 17's Market, and while a little slow-movin', it's still a viable market. I've been flipping equipment and it's allowed me to buy the 100 pack bundle several times over. It's interesting to see if I can get the entire LS collection as I keep opening these packs. One thing I have noticed for 17 - Diamonds in packs are extremely rare (as compared to 18 and 19)! But it's fun.

I'm doing okay with the gherig rookie card too. But you're right, they could have just done a silver sluggers event and saved the trouble.

I want them to bring the universal profile back to tsn so I can see the record and my opponents stats like it was in 18.

exactly LOL. I am usually supportive when it comes to the content because they have done such a great job this year...but these event rewards are brutal. Both hitters aren't even good enough to be Bench Bats. Cy Young card is the 96 version with slightly more control and more velocity on his FB.

I would of done a 99 Orel, 99 Gossage (since he did have a Immortal in 18), and 99 Betts (just because he would play a mean 2B!). All three of these cards could actually be usable... Young, Konerko, and Kiner are not at all.

Even as a Yanks fan a 99 Mookie sounds interesting......99 Orel would have been fun too
