Sort of. This year Madden team actually made a big point of saying that they were going to rejuvenate Franchise with 3 big updates. One was to scouting, and just last week the made another one. Sure took them until season was over, but at least they are making it look like they care about Franchise players.

I mean kudos for hoping for the best but anybody who has been playing and paying attention the last few years would know better than to expect meaningful changes to the legacy franchise system.

With regards to 10, my suspicion is that MTO was built on a whole new platform, different to the existing Franchise and RTTS, and those two modes will be rebuilt from it. Hopefully we will get some clarity in the interview.

Would be nice but that stuff is hard coded. Hopefully they found away around this. Also would be nice to change the country flag for those who move a franchise and would like to see their home flag. Game is looking pretty nice though

Probably the wrong board to ask a franchise question. Operation sports is where the majority of the franchise people post online.

Without needing to make thousands of minor league guys, I would say it's not a long time, a couple days or weeks, but don't know for sure.

I'm not knocking your ideas as it would work for some, but there are still plenty of gamers who just want a deep and all inclusive Franchise/Dynasty mode. The problem is we've been marginalized by greed (some would say it's intended) and have lost interest or jumped ship to a sport that's far from our favorite because it has a Franchise mode that is better.

I don't think they are any discussions. I think every answer is "Nope, Diamond Dynasty."

Breathe....franchise will most certainly be in the game. Just don't expect many updates to it which is always disappointing but is the state of sports games since Ultimate Team modes arrived

Also for Franchise it has been mandatory to create TWO setting profiles. Set up your preset for your team and choose manual for everything (I leave scouting as auto as it is so flawed, why bother) Save it as MY PRESET Then change everything to auto and create a new preset called CPU. Assign that preset to all other teams

That way you can always undo the flawed AI's mistakes

I mean if you played the older NBA2K games, it really took a while for Association in NBA2K to evolve into myLeague/GM/NBA, because there's a lot of data and CPU logic within those modes that need to all work well and interact with each other.

I also don't think MTO as a mode is dumb. It serves a pretty good purpose since it's grown to be a more condensed version of Franchise mode if you don't want to sink a ton of time being a full on GM but still want to be invested in what happens over the course of a season with your team.

It also helps that since both MTO/Franchise use the same...base? foundation? So you could carry that team into Franchise mode when you finish the first season out and take full control of the team seamlessly. This is why both of the modes go hand in hand with feature reveals whenever they talk about changes, because one mode indirectly improves the other.

There's plenty of people who would love to do a full blown franchise but simply don't have the time to commit to a full 162 game season and then the playoffs if you make it, and there's other people who would like to play a franchise but with DD being so time consuming with things to do, they never really get the chance to do that. March to October allows both of those groups of people to enjoy the game in a pickup-and-play way that works well and the rewards system it currently has (which I hope changes this year) keeps people invested because the mode puts you in games and events that matter.

Speculating here but it might be a part of the MTO stream since both of those modes share a lot of the same functions (MTO is by all intents and purposes an on-ramp to Franchise mode for casual/new players)

If it's just for Franchise, not much at all, but if they can offer a fun competitive game. It could push SDS. I just want the option, I miss 2005 when we had at least 3 or 4 viable options to choose from for a base game.

The problem with a lack of competition is that now your fanbase ends up with extremely high expectations every year since you are the only game in town.

Choice is always a good thing. When we all had choices in 2004 and 2005, it became a lot easier to switch to a different baseball game if another studio was in the process of overhauling one of their modes (like SDS is with Franchise right now). Fans were able to have breathing room and tempered expectations when a studio decided to focus on something else for that year's development cycle.

Yeah nothing will work. They can’t just reprogram the game after release. It is what is. Just wish he’d be straight with us. I’ve been playing since mlb 08. So dissatisfying
