I def recommend fully quitting and reloading if you struggle more than 5-10 minutes with it - - even the Home Run ones are pretty easy if you know what pitch to look for, when to power swing or not, etc. if you just swing everytime hoping to run into one it will work about as well as that would in a real game

So far i have gotten away with not doing ALL the Home Run ones but Ryan McMahon won’t do [censored] for me so i did some extra moments so i could bench that clown for good lol

I struck out 5 people in a row my 2nd try ? Pitching moments are pretty simple - - pound fast ball 0-2 - throw ball 1 on purpose - - breaking pitches until they swing for strike 3 - - 2 foul offs and you throw fastball for called strike 3

The other good combo is 2 breaking pitches for call strikes and then high cheese for the K

I would bet people who play only online struggle with moments - - different game sliders altogether

What do you mean by 'it wouldn't be fair'?

They're already doing that. Not sure about the current Event; but I know the last one (Moonshot) at 10 wins you got a Rewind Pack. Granted the card wasn't sellable; but you still got a card that, if it was sellable, it would/could be worth 10x as much later in the year.

25 wins vs 5 wins ? The reward shouldn’t have the same value for 20 less wins. That wouldn’t be fair to the people who did 25 wins for a 5 win reward to be the same a couple weeks later…..that and keeping the event cards somewhat valuable overall is why they made rewinds non sellable

True, but….

Those are set 1 cards (Babe, Pedro and Chipper) which means you won’t be able to play all three come season 3. You’ll be able to use one as a wild card. McGuire, Sosa and Jeter can be used all year

I still don’t see the point in paying lots of stubs for core set cards - - - once set 1 phases out there will be just as good of cards in set 2….also for free. Again, you are talking about zero stubs vs hundreds of thousands - - - theres no way sosa, mcgwire and jeter are that much better and its still 2 whole months before set 1 dies….if you play all the set 1 programs the chipper, ruth and pedro will easily be yours….for free.

If it cost lots of stubs to do set 1 then you would be right but free is free bro - - theres just no math to support pursuing live series with hard earned stubs. You can easily replace jeter, mcgwire and sosa with cheaper cards - - sosa vs babe ruth? Gimme the babe…..for free all day every day and twice in the morning on sunday

Besides, i have like half the live series done just from opening my free packs - - i spend zero real dollars and zero stubs on packs - - unless you just like collecting all the cards for its own sake its clearly more cost effective to just buy the cards you want off the market

So I am honestly curious why you all play Franchise mode instead of Diamond Dynasty?

I realize there are some common answers like DD is somewhat pay to play, you don’t like multiplayer, or you like simming - - so try and keep your answer off those obvious ones if possible.

I am old enough that franchise modes used to be the pinnacle of a sports game, then multiplayer took over, and now its ultimate team….I am curious because i have never spent a dime on microtransactions ever for any game and thoroughly enjoyed the diamond dynasty mode on every game i tried it…fifa, 2k and the show are all pretty good totally free to play. I do confess to coin/stub grinding on certain years for trophies - - i have platinums on the show 17, 21 and 23 - 2k16 and 20 - and one each on madden and fifa

Having had to dabble in modern franchise modes for trophies i have wondered what i am missing by not getting into it more

If your goal is to find cards for your squad then you should buy singles off the market or earn them from gameplay - - lou gehrig world series is way better than every live series card and it takes like a week of losing online to get gehrig….

The live series cards are only expensive due to supply and demand - - stub prices have nothing to do with performance

If you are buying packs in hopes of profiting stubs thats highly unlikely to happen - - - earn as many free packs as you can and spend your money on beer and weed

Baseball is the only sport with a non-standardized field of play so created stadiums make perfect sense. Real MLB stadiums are created stadiums themselves.

That hill that used to be in center field in Houston? The bone crushing brick wall padded by leaves in Chicago? The 6 square miles worth of foul territory in Oakland? The giant green wall in left field in Boston?

All real life….all ridiculous.

Whats funny about it is MLB is the most stat obsessed sport and the field itself isnt even standardized. A home run that goes 314 feet to right field at Yankee stadium is worth the same as one that goes 430 to center in arizona - - i am surprised this isn’t discussed more, especially by pitchers with hitter friendly home stadiums….coors field comes to mind since i live in denver…..rockies .ERA should cleary be adjusted as should the giants in their pitcher friendly park

The fact that its with live series players makes it totally yucky. If they had different divisions where the diamond dynasty type versions would be available would make it worth it. “All time” teams, legends only, something….

I am in no way interested in batting with some 50 rated minor league bus jockey - - the game just plays better and is more fun the higher rated your players are.

One year or maybe this was a different game you could have rookie versions of legends be in your draft classes so you could develop those and sort of grind your way up but it takes a lot of seasons - - this may be an NBA 2k thing but is a good idea to add some depth

They pretty much killed bunting so why would you bother playing online anyway?

So this is just in case a younger kid sees this because I know I wasn’t taught about statistics and how they actually work until college.

So the odds for a diamond is 1 in 50.
This in NO WAY means you will get a diamond if you open 50 packs.

In this case, each pack you open is separate or INDEPENDENT from any other pack you open - so mathematically the odds are the same every pack - 1 in 50 CHANCE it will be diamond.

Its pretty close to the same odds as you pulling the card you want out of a deck of standard playing cards - 1 in 52 -aka no way in hell unless yer Mel Gibson in that Maverick movie

You see lots of posts where the person clearly thinks the odds are guaranteed or something - - it doesnt matter if you open 1 pack or 10,000 the odds are the same when you open the pack…1 in 50 - - a maverick’s chance in frozen hell.

Add mini seasons to the list - every other game crashes and costs you a loss……and they won’t give us any compensation whatsoever.

It’s pretty standard practice for app games to give everyone stuff for server crashes and even regular maintenance most games will throw you some loot - - not console games though….you pay $75 for the game up front and continuously get screwed out of your play time and lose hard earned progress.

Not to mention most of us will just go play something else until you extinguish the dumpster fire. That GRID Legends game they gave away this month looks pretty cool…
