My point is this - You could wait and start in December every year. A couple weeks of grinding & you’ll have every 99 you desire but without the headache of a large grind or buying stubs and now you can just kick back and play RS or chill against the cpu.

The only drawback I see is if you witnessed some great feat by one of your favs and wouldn’t get the card that reflects the accomplishment THAT WEEK. But if you could live without that…December is my new launch day

I stopped around late July also. I got burned out but started about a month ago again. It's a lot easy to get stubs now then back at the start and even into July. All about your preference I suppose, but it is alot easier you go through it now after everything is released.

My kids say similar things. They play Roblox and the various games on the platform. At 9 years old they recognize or learn from us or others that cheating may or may not exist in these games.

I would buy Manny just to place him on my Red Sox squad. But I am a Sox fan so that's an easy choice. I would buy Rollins for his Switch hitter option and put him at 1 or 2 in my lineup.
Weirldy enough, I did purchase Mantle because of his name and switch hitter ability, but don't really like using him. Oh well, I have almost all the sets and normally won't spend more then 75k on a player unless I need him, but splurged on Mantle. He's on my Switch hitting lineup also. It's really what you want at this point, correct?

There are a lot of great points here. Another issue the owners are now dealing with is the downfall of the Regional Sports Network. This certainly may not affect teams like the Red Sox, Yanks, and others with the well known networks, but most of the teams considered smaller market are certainly losing out.

Revenue sharing should help offset the cost, but even trying to find how much teams are getting is somewhat difficult to find as a fan. Can you imagine turning on MLB Network and the hosts are analyzing the revenue sharing numbers received for small market teams. They could have an hour for each team prior to the start of the year. But, definately would not be in the best interest of the owners. Imagine being a fan of (just an example) of the Twins, and finding out they received 50 million in revenue sharing and did not put it back into the team via free agents. The larger market teams are sharing the wealth.

I thought about that after I posted. Maybe he is trying to read the room and get some feedback from the players, instead he got cussed at.

The players will never agree to a cap, not gonna happen. The MLB players union will not go for it unless their is some sort of clause that allows signing bonuses to offset the cost of losing out on higher salaries. It was a sticking point in 1994, and it will be a sticking point in the next negotiation, and Manfred knows it.

Harper and other players are angry that Manfred wants to implement a salary cap, so of course the players are against that. Manfred should have known he wouldn't be welcome in a MLB teams clubhouse.

Right or wrong here may not matter. The ownership group may in-fact lock the players out before a new negotiation ever happens. Why have a salary cap when you already have a luxury tax threshold and revenue sharing? MLB revenue for 2024 hit a record of 12.1 billion(see Forbes.com). Let's hold the teams receiving the bulk share accountable to put it back into their payroll.

Isn't it fair to say the reason Pittsburgh is having difficulty competing is their lack of developing the players in their own system? They had some pretty good pitchers recently come up and not performed. Look at Cole, Tallon, Glasnow, traded for Musgrove. Liriano performed well. They traded Baz. The same issue on offense. They drafted a bunch of players who just never panned out.

They were a playoff team in 2014 and 2015 under Clint Hurdle, and he was often criticized in Pittsburgh for being too rough. I think it's also fair to say Bob Nutting treats the pirates as a business, as long as he is making money its ok for him.

The kid is dialed in right now. It's good for the A's, they need to get to Vegas asap so they can keep these kids.

If anyone played Madden Mobile from around 2014-2015 time frame, then you may remember the bot problems the platform had in the auction house. Eventually they removed the auction house and went another direction to obtain cards, but sadly it took the fun out of the game.

Unfortunate. I was at 52 percent on veteran and pulled both Summer players? Ludwick and Gray. Luck of the draw I guess. In addition, it's fun when I roll a one 4 times in a row, only to go into a pitching moment.

What was his launch angle? O'Neil Cruz regularly hits rockets, and last night he hit an unbelievable 120.5 missile off the CF wall. The CF actually could have caught it of he would have been in position.
