I am older then most and have been playing The Show since the early days. I love the game, for the most part have been a offline gamer but I do play online. I always go for LS 1st and then all other sets 2nd. I am about 6 or 7 away right now. I always hit the burnout around late July to mid August, and always come back around Feb the next season. This year is different for me, coaching 10U baseball takes time away from playing. What has really deterred me this year is the bots in the market, and the amount of online driven XP rewards. The online hitting is something I cant stand anymore. Pitching side, using good pitcher like Skenes, crochet, etc...and watching them get smoked while mixing pitches doesn't make much sense. Mini seasons has been fun but even the hitting has become inconsistent, scoring 16 runs one game and 2 the next in 9 inning games is just not worth the time. I will continue to play, mix in Diamond quest and Showdowns. I may not make it to July this year.

I play at Mack Park for my mini seasons. Some games I crush the ball and score a lot of runs, other games It can be a struggle. A few days ago I went up against Cam Schlittler and he plunked 3 of my guys and was all over the place, 35 pitches in the 1st inning.

Maybe, in his last 69 abs he is batting .261/.312, 0 HR 5 BB, 14K...not too convinced on him. Maybe to an 84

Muncy has good numbers, trending up. Metrics are great, except whiff and K%. .333/.452 in last 60 abats .284/.390 overall 9 homers, 20BB

Wroblewski is gonna be tough to go gold. His metrics are not all that great, has a decent BB and Barrel rate. Whiff and k rate are awful. By no means am I saying he will regress, but I am not sure SDS will take him gold based on the metrics.

I like the new change. I struck out watching a ball just nip the zone and was like, WTH!, pretty comical. This is gonna be a positive change

Your are correct, the bots are in any game that has in-game currency, and in this case Stubs. This is not just a MLB the Show problem, it has engulfed the entire gaming industry. Bot farms are present and evident. Unfortunately if a fix were to be implemented, they would be bypassed within a few days and find ways around the fix. Either live with the bots or SDS finds a way to market and sell cards without an auction altogether, hard to see the path forward without bots.

Be creative with your lineup. Chandler simpson at leadoff, PCA 2nd. Put a lot of speed and SBs in your lineup, high vision with good contact Stan Musial, and keep speed on the bench for pinch runners. Adjust the strike zone view and do your best to avoid swinging at balls. I know it sounds simple, but keep at it. It can be frustrating.

@SiberiaTigerCub_PSN it almost seems that SDS removing the bots is an uphill battle that cannot be won, good luck with that.

Its unfortunate that bots not only exist in this game, but are rampant in the entire video game industry. If anyone remembers the auction house in Madden Mobile 2018, bots essentially ruined it and EA removed the auction all together. Been around for a while and not going anywhere. Unfortunate

Would anyone be surprised if Philly went on to win 8 out of 10, maybe 15 out of 20 in the next month? They have the pitchers, sometimes it just needs to warm up and once you get into. May things click. The Mets are a dumpster fire. Houston pitching is reeling. Giants, sure, they are competitive and not too bad at the moment

@NotesOfJohn_PSN when you outbid another buyer, are you seeing the previous bid disappear with no record of a sale? I see that at times, and I believe that is pretty evident of a bot. Especially on selling a card.

Stack the lineup with leftys & play at Mack Park. Chandler Simpson & PCA at the top of the lineup. Maybe a few switch hitters. Power relievers

My point is this - You could wait and start in December every year. A couple weeks of grinding & you’ll have every 99 you desire but without the headache of a large grind or buying stubs and now you can just kick back and play RS or chill against the cpu.

The only drawback I see is if you witnessed some great feat by one of your favs and wouldn’t get the card that reflects the accomplishment THAT WEEK. But if you could live without that…December is my new launch day

I stopped around late July also. I got burned out but started about a month ago again. It's a lot easy to get stubs now then back at the start and even into July. All about your preference I suppose, but it is alot easier you go through it now after everything is released.

My kids say similar things. They play Roblox and the various games on the platform. At 9 years old they recognize or learn from us or others that cheating may or may not exist in these games.

I would buy Manny just to place him on my Red Sox squad. But I am a Sox fan so that's an easy choice. I would buy Rollins for his Switch hitter option and put him at 1 or 2 in my lineup.
Weirldy enough, I did purchase Mantle because of his name and switch hitter ability, but don't really like using him. Oh well, I have almost all the sets and normally won't spend more then 75k on a player unless I need him, but splurged on Mantle. He's on my Switch hitting lineup also. It's really what you want at this point, correct?
