Enjoy! Thanks SDS
I would like to highlight that they have fixed the issue/bug.
I have been reading the details on the updates and I must have missed it or it was not listed. I do not know exactly when it was fixed but this bug is no longer an issue! Much appreciated SDS for the fix!
I can now officially edit any player name with the audio and it is reflected in game play! Thanks so much!!
Idk guys… they don’t do that with the default rosters WITH injuries. There is only one default roster with injuries (which never gets updated), so if you loaded up any other updated roster… they will just be in the minor leagues.
Based off what you’re saying, you’re not using default rosters with injuries.
I am using it in my franchise and Cole and Gil aren’t even injured. They are in the rotation because the default rosters were created prior to those players being injured irl
They have been getting worse and worse with this. You think that since they came out with the FaceScan app that at least some of the players would use the app for them lol
The created players they make to stand and sub for these dudes look like the ugliest bridge trolls. Maybe a couple of them look like people
Because most people probably play with a DH, they probably don’t even know about this issue.
It sucks for sure because that never used to happen back in the day when half the league didn’t have a DH.
Based off what you’re describing, it seems like there is absolutely nothing you can do for that. It sounds like it’s just a bug
I started a thread where we talk about this. Check it out. We talk about player development and coaches… whether they do or don’t and also how we should improve player development
“Defense matters”
I think they made their point. Let’s tone a down a little now and make it more realistic
I have been playing this game since 2006 and have been playing Franchise as long as I can remember. This mode has been neglected for years and years… this year they finally made enough adjustments and additions to make me want to buy the game.
I have been debating not buying the new addition for a few years now but I do have hopes that they will continue to improve this game mode.
The reason they don’t… they don’t make money from it. Which is why their franchise development team is soooooo small in comparison to DD development crew.
The two guys probably work their butts off all year but it’s only two guys. They could do so much more with this game mode to inspire people to play it again. Most people don’t play it because they don’t improve it and it’s so bare bones.
@totopapa_82_PSN pitch clock is something you can toggle off
And yes!! Bring back Sounds of The Show!!!!
Although you are correct that you are able to do this… you are unable to do it once inside the franchise save file.
You would have to do that prior to starting your franchise under a separate roster save. Which would mean you couldn’t use Default Rosters with Injures.
I have tried what you’re talking about and it’s not an option inside a franchise save file. This would also solve the problem though!
@PriorFir4383355_XBL
I like this concept. It gives you a bit of credit for performance which doesn’t affect the attributes at all currently.
That has always bothered me. You can get a rookie or prospect who has an amazing year but only really increases slightly over the course of a season. The individual performance should correlate more to the development of players.
Tokens would also let you choose where to improve your team and would be similar to RTTS in a way.
And having it tie into the coaching staff would be super cool. Maybe you have a great manager and he gives you more tokens or allows an increase in player development for specific age groups.
What about a coach or manager who has an attribute that “increases speed development for players under 30 years old” by a certain percentage. But if you fire him or replace him then it stops or even decreases depending on who you hire in his place.
Additionally, the coaching portion of franchise is absolutely out dated and complete garbage. With over 50% of the hirable coaches and managers focusing on bunting…
They could do so much with this. I am also 90% sure the coach +/- attributes do not do anything. So even if it is just cosmetic, I wish they would at least give me coach attributes that real organizations care about.
I agree with you 100%. RTTS is finally fixed in regard to that topic… but in franchise, I would love to develop players legitimately without editing them.
Currently I edit them myself but that doesn’t feel immersive. I would love to actually build a program by hiring coaches and staff like strength coaches. That way I can specialize on specific attributes like power and speed. Maybe you want to go a different route and beef up your staff to prevent injuries by developing player durability… which may also help your pitchers stamina to go up or be able to have relief pitchers to pitch more often.
That way your franchise can go the direction you want it to. I will 100% edit a player right now… but that is only because the development is flawed. Also the aging system is kinda random and flawed as well. I would love to even develop veterans where I can prioritize what attributes I want to maintain, while I know they will lose points in other categories.
Think of the five tools… you get to choose two of the five (with the right coaches and staff) to develop and maintain player attributes.
Let’s start a conversation about how SDS Franchise team needs to fix and incorporate player development
There is absolutely nothing in the game that truly develops a player. From a young prospect to a veteran… we are stuck with training them but seeing absolutely no legitimate benefit from it.
Also when does an MLB player only train on one thing?
This is also one of the biggest things irl for a successful or failing MLB franchise. This would give us the opportunity to control how a player develops instead of random stats going up slowly over time.
I have a lot of ideas but I wanna see what everyone else has to say about it.
Ah yes essentially that’s what I was doing however the audio you edited for that players name will not be featured in the game.
PA announcers and broadcasters will either use the audio associated with the original player or just announce “number 12” as their name.
There is a problem with the audio on edited players
I just lost a conquest game…
I was pitching… threw a sinker low and away… the batter fouled it off which caused the ball to ricochet to the backstop BUT they called it a drop third strike. He ended up safe at first because my catcher didn’t go get it…. Then I was perfect pitch timing on the next batter and my pitcher threw it down the middle, double in the gap after the glitch and I lost the game.
Also I have seen a lot on reddit with people hitting HR over the fence with the HR distance graphic popping up (online play)… then the batter slides in at first base safe for a single even though the ball went over the fence lol
I have never seen so many glitches in a MLB TS series game before
Personally I prefer the way they did it this year because of the reason you mentioned.
I really dislike seeing rendered images of guys I traded for and on the same screen see the pictures/non-rendered images of guys that were on my team originally. It’s really off putting in the middle of the game when you’re seeing the up coming hitters graphic of next half inning.
Or it will show the lineup with 7 pictures and two rendered images… it looks stupid. Might as well make it all the same.
It’s not laziness here, it’s by design. Although I understand the assumption that they are being lazy lol
Yeah that is a lot of fun actually. However, you can’t even really do that with the default rosters with injuries. You are unable to create a player using that roster.
In your scenario your audio would definitely be okay.
The best solution would be to allow us to download the default rosters WITH injuries. That would allow us to edit the rosters or at least upload players or create players.
If I could edit those rosters and then start a franchise with edited default rosters, it would be more enjoyable and immersive.
After further exploration- I have found that any time I edit player name audio… the broadcast announcers only refer to the player by their number despite having matching audio. The PA announcer uses the originally assigned audio track to that specific edited player.
