Why do people do this?
I don't know about you guys but I come to play the game and have fun. Just played with a dude who, not even two batters in, messages me a two paragraph diatribe about "internet b um juice" and me being "scared" and accusing me of using a "laggy stadium" (it was the current Yankee Stadium) and threatening that this was the last game I would ever play with this account, then in game started with the "bunt dancing"...
Like, seriously. What is wrong with people?
Look, I can understand quitting when someone is just pummeling you into Oblivion and you're losing 10 to nothing and you're really just not having any fun. Maybe you want to save your bullpen a little, okay.
But the amount of people that quit on me when I'm beating them by a run or two or it's nothing to nothing game and I hit a ball into the Gap with a runner on base and I'm about to score the first one of the game and they just Rage Quit
That's absolutely ridiculous those people shouldn't even be playing this game. It happens way too often.
That doesn't make sense
Is there any way we can outlaw this incredibly annoying practice?
Shame it into oblivion? Can we band together and eradicate it somehow?
Put the word out that it's incredibly lame so people feel like losers if they even think about it?
What you mean is it's dead FOR YOU.
The world does not revolve around you and your specific skills. I'm by no means a great player. My record in DD ranked is 8 and 12. But I finished both ranked and battle Royale programs bc I concentrate and wait out good pitching and hunt for mistakes and try to be inventive with my pitching and I can still win games and have a blast.
I'm tired of people declaring things dead and attempting to sound definitive as if YOUR experience is universal. It's not. You're just bad at the game. So quit and leave the game to people who enjoy it and try to grind it out and improve.
The Game is alive. It's you thats dead
I mean I was so psyched. 5 Years playing this game and I've never even come close to completing the ranked program. And what did I get for it? My choice of two out of five gold player cards
Gold? Seriously. I was underwhelmed, to put it as mildly as possible.
Wtaf, The Show?
I crash during conquest . I crash during showdowns. I crash during battle royale games. Moments. Mini Seasons. Franchise. All crashes. Ive even deleted and redownloaded it 3 times. No Mazel, as they say.
Is your offense camera on High, Medium, Broadcast or Dynamic?
@romeischillin_MLBTS said in The Negro Leagues are in MLBTS 23! Yes!:
Need an animation where Satchel tells the defense to take the at-bat off and have them all sit down because he's going to strike the batter out.
That was a story told about Rube Waddell as well
@SkipPractice_PSN said in Wow Jeter! I HAVE TO BUY IT NOW! Hmmmm....:
Who gives a flying foul ball that Jeter is in this game for 23.
The game will play like a foul ball anyway.
Do not buy The Show 23.
It will be a cut and paste of every year before. Have nothing new but a few new DD cards that are not useable because the PCI does not register and the swing timing is delayed because it is not programmed correctly.
SDS appeases the Twitch crowds because that helps with revenue.
This company is representing baseball horribly in the video game world.
You are all sheep!
Jeter attributes 125 contact - 115 power - 97 - speed - outlier on a change up.
That is how SDS does it.
#FIXTHESHOW23
So.... Don't buy it, don't play it and get off the forum. If you don't enjoy the game you are just here to complain.

This game is horrible.
Need to fix this junk asap.
So why do you play and why are you here?

Some kids need to lay off the weed and log off of their ps4 for a few hours to get a job.
I smoke plenty of weed, have two Masters Degrees, and have a fairly lucrative job. Your stereotypes are infantile.
So what you are saying is there can’t be successful people that use marijuana as well as people that sit on their ps4 all day using their spare change to buy weed while complaining they are broke and collecting food stamps?
I find it infantile that you were offended.
Nice try, but your initial inference suggests a stereotype, and an asinine assumption. If both types exist, and, one might assume, the entire spectrum between the extremes, that renders your stereotypes nothing more than a hyperbolic, gratuitous, irrelevant prejudice.
Of course you find the offense infantile. You're just narcissistic enough to believe that all points of view and opinions orbit around your unimpeachable truths. Exactly the type of person who offers offensive and childish stereotypes in lieu of any logical or reasoned opinion and then tries to gaslight everyone when called on it. "What? How dare you be offended by what I said? I'll show you who's offended! "
We all know your type.

And the entire time he was yelling that I was a center swinger that doesn't aim my pci to swing.
He threw less then 50% strikes and I drew 9 walks, struck out 5. I should write him an apology that I didn't aim at his balls out of the zone, I am a terrible human being.
I once had a guy send me a message he was sooo pissed off at me and ended up reporting me for toxic play. What was my infraction?
I wouldn't throw the ball down the middle and he kept swinging at bad pitches and striking out
I asked him if he had actually ever watched a baseball game and if he understood he didn't have to swing at balls out of the zone.
Ah. I was unclear how that worked. I figured they had a contract with the MLBPA that includes everyone. I guess not for retired players
Ive only been playing this game for 3 years, but there's not a boss, a henchman, a rookie for God's sake, nuthin representating the man who occupies the #6 spot on the all time hit list.

It's okay to quit, not dashboard, if you are getting outplayed. Some people just don't want to play on hall of fame so they tank on purpose.
100% is ok, I do get frustrated though because I tend not to quit, my time spent playing well is significantly less because people quit when I'm up, but I don't when I'm down. Really no reasonable fix for that issue though
My rule is I only quit after giving up five consecutive hits. If that happens early in the game I know my opponent is a no good cheater and I will probably have better luck with my next roll of the dice.
I don't cheat. I don't even know how. And I've gotten five hits in a row before. I've even scored nine runs in a moon shot event game. And I generally suck.
@CCARR77_PSN said in Who is still trying to collect cards for Brett and McCutchen?:
I need 20 All-Star cards and the market for them just isn't moving for them unless you buy now. Been trying to buy Bryant for a week now it seems. He was at 14k then and 19k now, so people are trying to get him and having the same issue as me.
Anybody else find the market moving slow for this? I know there are plenty of big ballers selling thousands of bronzes for 150 stub profits, but who else is still playing this game?
Why not do what I do and try to win them instead of buying them. I've got Brett and Cutch and more than halfway to Rollins

Why is there no Jeter in this game. Surely SOME love for a nearly unanimous hall of famer with 3000 + hits, no???

I don't understand your answer.
