Unless stubs are all you're looking for, then keep Elly for sure. I'm not sure which Trout you're speaking of, but if it's the Chase card Trout, I don't have it so I can't say anything about it.
If you're looking for the cards, well then, do you want Jeter or Sosa over Elly or Trout? Don't look at the set number if you're looking for a card to use. In S6, all the cards become active again.
And you can use Elly as your Wildcard in S5.
I use Chipper as my wild, so I wouldn't be able to use elle again until set 6. I appreciate your opinions guys but I'm paranoid elle will drop a good amount shortly before this season is up and I'll lose a bunch of stubs. The only reason I care about stubs right now is so I can finish live series and get Jeter. Tough decision to make I guess.
I got lucky and pulled Trout and Elle from chase packs @Blind_Bleeder , otherwise I wouldn't have him either. I never got to use the Trout card from last year so I was pretty thrilled. If only I could get going with him! I've been sucking with him.
I think I'll wait at least another week or two to sell him, but I want to finish live series so bad! lol. Thanks again.
What do you need to finish the LS? Not stubs wise but card wise.
Not much, mostly just the gatekeeper cards like Trout, Ohtani, etc. I probably have 6-8 teams left, which I've calculated to be around 400-500k

The Pennant Chase Program consists of 2 Stages. The Stage 1 Program maxes out at 85 Program Stars and does not carry over to Stage 2. Once Stage 2 has been unlocked, completing Stage 1 tasks will not grant Program Stars towards Stage 2 progression.
Half the player base will never read the quote above and come complaining when Stage 2 is released about why they're not being awarded program progress.

Is this conquest map and showdown going away when Stage 2 comes out?
Will I be able to get Stage 1 cards when stage 2 comes out?
Will stage 2 give me enough stuff to do to complete both Stage 1 and Stage 2 progress?
In another thread, guys are talking about all these Pennant chase packs. Where are they coming from? Playing “something”? Buying them?
Feel free to talk to me like I’m 6 years old.
Stage 2 opens when you complete Stage 1 (get to 85 points), so it's already out. Anything you collect in Stage 1 you CAN NOT collect in Stage 2. So don't do all the collections in Stage 1 or you will be screwed for Stage 2. The conquest and showdown only apply to Stage 1 as Stage 2 has it own set of missions you need to accomplish. Anything you do for 1 does not count toward 2. You will get at least 20 packs from doing the program, showdown and conquests. You can buy the players too but I would wait until you opened all your packs. I already have 3 of the 5 and I am only at 40 points right now.
I just realized I did it wrong. SMDH. I did the collections (thinking I would save the moments for round 2). Just the 5 chase pack collections, but still. So I lost 15xp for this. I did my research on this program too, I thought I had it right.
So now I have to sell Trout and do the one collection for 16xp (as well as the stage 2 missions).. Oh well.
There is the repeatable you can use. I don't know that losing Trout is worth gaining whatever is in the last pack.
That repeatable would have taken significantly longer than just doing this so meh. Thanks for posting that excel, that's handy.

Thanks! Just another way to get the PXP for Kerry Wood and the 25K PXP missions. This will be another 30 or so 3-inning games. I just finished the Kraken Conquest map, so this works out good!
Dude you're way too excited about grinding for a player 
I hate how in order to finish the Takahashi Program you have to either miraculously get Walter Johnson, Grind for Johnny Damon or finish the postseason program. I'm currently grinding that right now. Flipping cards to get enough to put in a bid for Walter, have everyone else besides Damon and Reggie.
