For some folks $500 is the difference between being able to put food on the table for their family or not. If you can afford it, be thankful and show some humility.

Calling this a new game is being generous. It's the same game as last season (and the two seasons before this) with a fresh coat of paint. Bugs should mostly be taken care of considering we've been playing the same game for several years now.

If you're unsatisfied with the game you can certainly spend some time actually understanding the Constitution and what your rights actually are and who they actually protect you from. It's amazing to me that the folks that scream about their constitutional rights have the least knowledge about the Constitution.

I get "Good/Okay" constantly on balls that are in the inside PCI. I'm starting to wonder what the PCI even means at this point. I assumed getting the ball inside the center PCI meant good contact. Apparently it does not. Which leads me to wonder what exactly qualifies as Good or Perfect contact if it's not getting the ball in the center ring.

They've done a very poor job of addressing the bugs in the game this year. I understand the pandemic, but SDS is a tech company in the 21st century. There's enough technology out there to continue to work on the game while working remotely.

I'd prefer they focus on gameplay rather than releasing content. I'm fairly certain the last patch was placebo.

36 and I'll never get past CS as long as I face Cabrera every game. I can hit every other pitcher but I'm lucky to foul him off.

I'm there with you. I will not purchase this game if sets are still a thing. I'm not wasting time grinding for the good cards only to eventually lose them. Especially with the length of the grind required to get most of them.

Well the problem is that they inflate the ratings of cards like....well...Shane Victorino. Good player but at no point in his career was he a 90 rated player.

I haven't followed any Show news this year, but this the first bit I see and it's massively disappointing to me as a PS5 owner. It made franchise mode so much more immersive.

I legitimately can't win games where I have the lead in the last inning. Speedy player always beats the shift with a late/weak hit for a double. Then the next batter regardless of power stats hits a bomb. Happens to me just about every time I take a lead into the final inning.

Going down the baseball rabbit hole, eh? That's awesome. I did this a few years back with soccer. Went in totally blind and now I'm a bona-fide addict. I also spend an ungodly amount of time playing Football Manager which has actually eaten into my Show playing time.

As for tutorials, I would find them to be lacking for someone coming in fresh to not only the Show but the actual sport. BUT...if you go to settings -> Gameplay -> General -> Tutorial Tips = On. Then you should get sporadic popups at least explaining the mechanics.

I would then set the difficulty to Beginner. Then on the main menu, scroll down to "Exhibition" and just play classic mode for a few games. This should give you many of the tutorials as you play.

Full disclosure, I've been playing this game for years so I haven't used the tutorials in some time, so I really don't know how helpful they are. But figured it's a good place to start.

Lastly, highly recommend just watching real-life games when you have time. There is A LOT to baseball and it'll take time. But you should find it rewarding because it's a great sport.
