Baseball "purists" crack me up. Lol Its the only sport that does this goofy stuff, and for SO long and with such commitment. Im in my early forties, the "steroid era" was the best era of baseball in my lifetime. And technically speaking (with VERY few exceptions, not nearly as much as some purists would like to say) EVERYONE was juicing, so it evens out. Yet, lets ban pretty much everyone from ever getting HOF consideration. Ok... Lol

Yes, i realize rose wasn't a roids thing, if anything stuff like that is even worse. And its all the same mindset.

Ive never thrown, punched or otherwise abused a controller in my life, but this game just got me close. Bro, NOBODY is paying yall anymore. Sorry you missed out while 2k and madden was ripping us off, but that time has passed. Both those games are dying and artificially inflating player numbers and revenue, at LEAST they got the bag first. Theyre efficient scammers. Yall show up five to ten years later and ask for our money while ruining the game? Lol go stand to next to nbc pinning their hopes to nba viewership (lowest pro sport viewership of all time currently) hire a business advisor will you? For your OWN sake.

So unfun to play. Also, i saw someone saying "who would play vs cpu" earlier, well I'm about to go play that boring unrewarding mode til bed to get my pxp. This game is trash. You only get so much credit for being the best sports game when you slingshot past 2k in one or two years and are nipping at maddens heels. Sports games are dead, all competitions for eas madden license have been rejected, despite the nfl desperately wanring someone to compete. All these companies use bots and ai to make and enforce their broken games. So sad. Lol

@Teak2112_MLBTS i think what hes saying is that is what they are turning into. Theyre already halfway there with the profits above all else, and now the gameplay is getting worse and so are the bugs. IE: they are following down maddens (and 2ks, all sports games really, the show was the last holdout) path.

I havent played in several days, maybe closer to a week, decided to come back and give it another try. Spent half my stubs (due in part to really already being disinterested in the game, why bother saving?) on a few high priced reds to help me with the elly program, games the same.

Opponents gold or below fielders are all prime HOF gold glovers, my diamonds or p5 high level golds all have to dive to have a chance at even stopping the ball, let alone get an out. Wheres all the cool seamless rocket arm cross body animations the cpus fielders get?

Pitchers still throw ball after ball after ball or perfectly dot corners.

The experience vs the cpu is almost unusable and truly feels like the cpu is cheating. Far from fun. Smh so disappointing.

Strongly agree with most of whats been said here. Its actually refreshing that there are so many people liking and sharing their similar gripes as opposed to what you see on alot of forums like this, fanboys, undercover interns etc dismissing valid concerns and or defending the game as some beacon of perfection.

Hitting is ABYSMAL. Particularly as others have said for offline low difficulty players. I get that there have been years where EVERYTHING is a homerun and no one wants that either. But this is the opposite extreme and its just as bad, if not worse.

They could TRY to charge for it. Only fools would pay it. Why do sports games think they are special? Only in sports games are these things ever an issue. Not to mention related issues like dc glitches etc done with malice but made possible by companies like SDS and EA being cheap and/or lazy.

Call of duty (or any other game without these problems) dont "charge extra" for working connections and inputs lol who do these companies think they are?

@fuminpuma_PSN youre being sarcastic but for selfish reasons id love that. Because its the only variable that explains (outside of the fact im just not very good to be fair lol) why i feel so outmatched. Especially hitting. Ive done everythjng else in my control, i specifically bought a cord to always play wired, i cleaned the dust from inside the ps5, i try to keep over 100gb free on drives at all times etc.

Im not buying a computer monitor to play one game. Feels like a design flaw. Plus it just wouldnt work for my setup in my already cluttered living room. Lol

Edit: i should include part of the reason is as soon as i needed homers from left fielders, all of a sudden not only is manny useless, so is any other left fielder. Meanwhile the rest of my lineup, even contact guys with no power, have homers now lol

@tear4eddy_PSN idk if you play mut, i realize they are different sports and different companies. Its a thousand percent obvious that it happens 99/100 times that way in the MUT example (as of the last couple years) this lf hr goal is the only example i have in the show, but it looks almost equally obvious. Lol

Ive gone out of my way to have my whole lineup made of left fielders trying to finish the hr w lf objective (im at 4/5) manny alone used to hit what felt like one a game. Hes useless now. Tyler oneill and schwarber are ground puts or base hit machines. I regularly pinch hit w ted williams or other left fielders. My lineup has bent over backwards for this (and i still need to do two more impossible moments to get jd martinez?) lol

Anyway its not just this. It happened a few times grinding other programs. And in MUT. The cpu will refuse to throw and take sacks and then conveniently fumble when you need to gain yards so if they fumble on their one on the last possible down, how convenient. I hate these practices in all games and sadly they are becoming more common.

I didnt even know you COULD. I vaguely remember facing someone who had clemens (i think) as a reliever and wondering "heh, didnt know you could do that, wonder if i should look into it" but then I kinda just forgot about it lol

@Pergo_MLBTS appreciate it. Im still rusty/new to these days of the show. Does that mean live series reign king? As in new (or updated, idk how it works) live series cards will outdate flashbacks? Or you meant for collections?

I guess im saying if im gonna spend, id rather grab a set it and forget it ace (lefty is a bonus, not a must) that can last towards the top of the roatation for awhile.

@Pergo_MLBTS so you guys say leiter, just checked, id probably have to soend upwards of 25-35k for him based on rough estimates. Should i just spend the extra 100 to get randy? Or is leiter close enough and its worth saving those stubs?

I know some are unrealistically expensive, others are only good at high levels, who is the best ace, regardless of tt or level? The one guy everyone should have at (or near) the top of their rotation?

Bonus points if you add a lefty honorable mention, my rotation is almost all righties.

Just curious, still something of a novice ro intermediate show player, i always hear the references to certain pitchers being better at higher or lower levels? I still dont get why? Why would randy be bad at low levels but good at high levels or vice versa?
