Yea I’m pretty sure that’s when his friend put in the other name. You should be able to change the name though ! It shouldn’t be this complicated.

I'm a dad to a 15 and soon to be 11 year old. All consoles let you restrict this.

That won't really help. He'll get banned eventually from being reported.

Should have been a supervised activity, creating that online account name. I don't want to be that guy here, but it's important to teach kids that stuff like this represents who they are.

No I was being sarcastic ! Coming to this forum for help from The Show staff/community and then having a bunch of fat, smelly suck bags living in the basement of their moms house run their mouth about my 11 year old just showed me how much MLB The Show staff and support care !! Nobody from SDS or The Show has attempted to help yet but thank you to the few decent people on here who tried !

I play myself and got my son into it ! With all this going on he doesn’t even want to play on his switch with the deluxe version I bought him. He wants to use that. I can’t do anything for him with my account. Is it just me or is this kinda crazy I can’t change his username for him ?! Sounds like a pretty simple concept ?! I’ve changed my username on my show account ?? What’s going on ?

I just need to change his MLB User name and it will be fine. I can’t believe they are making it this difficult to change. I even had Nintendo refund my purchase, and rebuy the game but the user name was the same. This is an easy fix if The Show or SDS would help. It’s just my 11 year old playing, I feel bad for him. The username is messed up, I’m pretty pissed at his friend for doing it. I don’t understand why MLB Support won’t help me.

Hey Dan, thanks for trying to help. Yes I’ve tried google. The link you sent is for changing the Nintendo switch user name, I know how to do that. My sons MLB The Show in game user name is what we are trying to change ? If you have any info on that, I’d really appreciate it !

One of my sons friends changed his name on the switch right when he got the game to something highly offensive and now he’s getting harassed online by kids. I’ve tried everything to change the username with no luck. I’ve even contacted Nintendo, MLB The Show support via email and twitter and all I get our automated responses that don’t help. It’s incredibly frustrating seeing my son go through this and not one person from MLB will help us. Just a concerned parent still looking for help ! Please anyone ?!

My son is having the same issue. One of his friends created a user name that is highly offensive and now he can’t change it. I’ve contacted SDS and The Show they don’t care and won’t do anything.
